Does not allow the use of Oculus touch controllers, you have to plug in a third party controller to play. Also, despite being a fun game, hardly anyone is playing. It is a small community where everyone knows each other. There are a select few (out of a very small number to begin with) that are highly toxic and will gang up on you until you want to leave. They don't accept new players. Within a few hours of playing, I was told to uninstall the game for making an incorrect decision, despite apologizing, and was informed I do not belong in the community. You WILL run into the same people constantly. Rarely more than 2 matches (of 8 people or less) are going at any given time. *UPDATE* Took a year long break, came back, and people are constantly kicking, fighting, and running the game. It's dead 22 hours of the day, and the 2 it's up, it's TOXIC. Also, they are all ps4 players so you can't add them as friends.

Point blank this game is fun , lots of fun . It's cross platform so there is always a game to jump in . And the time limit for each round is spot on . Thank you Ubisoft !

The whole idea is great, but the community, while still alive is small. (go to https://werewolflobbies.com/ to see current lobbies) Hands aren't motion controlled, and you need Uplay. I hope this game will eventually get bigger

So I've been looking at this game to be released for a couple months now, but like most of you I was shocked and turned away from the $30 price tag ($40 for someone of you on different points on the globe). After a couple beers I said F it and bought the game. The game is amazingly fun. The art direction and the world it created is a fun and enjoyable atmosphere to be a part of. Everything is well polished and the game is simple enough for anyone to jump in and start playing. Right away I was paired up with 6 other guys who I got to spend the next 3 - 4 hours with. It was such a BLAST try to deceive everyone or try and convince them of who you TRULY (or falsely) are or are not. Other than the game objective itself, it was so much fun interacting with one another, doing all sorts of gestures, making all sorts of jokes, and, overall, just being part of a new community and getting to know one another. It's an amazing social experience and I don't think I ever laughed so hard in a VR game (one guy said he was laughing so hard, tears were getting in his headset). Despite being incredibly fun, is it worth the $30 ($40) price tag? Sadly I'd say no. While it is an awesome experience and a fresh game mechanic to the Vive database, because of it's high price I don't see many people getting on board and thus I believe the player base will soon decrease (which is common for online only games). Which is a shame, that the price of the game is going to be it's poison and greatest contributor to it's lack of success. While it is great being able to play with other players across Vive, PSVR, and Oculus, it's going to be impossible to maintain a steady player count unless price is addressed. I recommend giving the game a try when it's on sale. With the amount of polish and creativity I would say this is more of a $15 game. TL;DR Amazingly fun polished game with great atmosphere and addictive gameplay, but with a hefty price tag that, unless decreased, will starve the player count.

It's like a VR "lite" version of Town of Salem. If you enjoy social games involving trickery and deception I highly recommend this one.

The graphics are awesome. It's fun until a group of trolls joins your game. (They GET OFF on vote kicks and giggle like little girls.) Then it's dead. I guess they have more fun sitting around CIRCLE JERKING EACH OTHER. If you can mentally deal with immature peasants, I really recommend it. Don't forget to BYOB.

CRIMINAL THIS GAME IS STILL FOR SELL. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!! IT IS DEAD. NO ONE PLAYS! This game has inspired me to create my own VR experience called "empty lobby" A pay for play experience where you sit in an empty lobby. *no refunds* Toxic environment filled with jerks. The only people still playing this game are a-holes that abuse new players. It took three days before enough people were online to play. There is no solo play. So you must wait for enough players to log in. After a three day wait I joined a circle to play the game. I forgot most of the tutorial after a 3 day wait. I naturally asked questions from other players. In a loud voice I heard "shut the fuck up!" I let it slide. Figured I would wait for a break. Ask questions then. Nope, every time I asked a question the same players would scream "Shut the FUCK up!" In the middle of the third game I called out the name of one of the nicer players to ask a direct question and again I hear "SHUT THE F##K UP!" Finally I lost my temper. I asked the offender to stop talking to me that way. It got quiet and the "polite" players said, "Don't take it so seriously. We tell each other to shut the fuck up all the time." There is a way to be friendly in a game and still get a point across. Screaming "shut the fuck up" is not polite banter. The worst of the offenders asked the group to vote kick me. I had to survive a vote kick in the first 15 minutes of playing. Because I didn't want to be berated. $20 to wait 3 days to play a game and then be yelled at. Worst $20 ever spent. If you are thinking about buying this game, STOP! It is clearly a dead game with limited appeal. The only players left are d##ks that don't want you to join. You will be yelled at. You will be cursed at. You will play 4 or 5 rounds and you will never press play again.

If you have ever played the Mafia game using a deck of cards or have the Werewolf set you know exactly what this game is. It is a clever social game where the werewolves attempt to allude the villagers for one night, and everyone has to figure out who the werewolves are. There are multiple roles, but not enough where it is clunky or too complicated. I am used to playing the old Mafia version with a deck of cards so coming in to this game I am used to having multiple nights where people are voted out every night, where this game differs is it only has one night and one vote. I think this is a good step for the game, because it keeps everyone involved and does not risk fracturing the servers when people inevitably quit out because they were killed. The rounds feel like the perfect amount of time. So far the population of this game seems to be good, I had no problem finding a full server and played with some awesome people, laughing and having a great time as we all attempted to persuade each other to further our own agendas. I am using the VIVE and I thought it was brilliant that Ubisoft is offering Crossplay between Oculus and PSVR. There still is Uplay you have to deal with, which personally does not bother me but may bother some of you. I was a little dissapointed that I could not use my VIVE controllers to move my hands 1:1. You use the controllers to select emotes and gestures you can make, which still felt pretty fluid. The game has many clever features, such as if you stand up to plead your case it temporarily mutes the other players so they hear your case. Overall, yes I agree the price might be a bit high for some people, and I do worry that long term it might hurt the player base, but as it stands right now I reccomend this game. I truly felt like I was with a group of friends laughing and having a great time and that is what VR is about for me.

I have played lots of Werewolf, One-night werewolf and Town of Salem over the years. I will always recommend them to anyone as it is simply an amazing genre. Werewolves Within seems like it is a great interpretation of the classic game, using VR in the best way possible in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately I can only guess whether the game is great or not cause I have not been able to play it. More than a year afters its release and the playerbase is still so small that it seemed impossible to get a game started. I chatted with a guy from Ireland for 20 minutes while waiting for more people to join our lobby. While it was nice, I decided to give up on the game in the end. It seems to me like you will need to spend as much time waiting for players to join, as you will spend actually playing the game. That simply doesn't work.
