Heroes is actually a pretty solid real time strategy game that combines character building and gear hunting. It is unique in that it allows you to command large armies of units, and fight large armies of enemies. The units you build are helpful but it really is your hero that does the heavy lifting.
Custom maps are about as good as the real game and for the price its good to simply hop in if you want your rts fix done with.
