This table can bite me. It's bumpers gutter you more often than not, and it has tons of bs portions where the game will just drop the ball down the middle. Brutally unfair.

TL;DR Summary: I have no issues with tables that punish missed shots, but this one punishes successful shots as hard as misses, and the "reflex" manual kickback that theoretically mitigates this is victim to it as well.
Definitely the worst table in the entire game.
Devil Riders is wholly designed around a single gimmick of lowering the ramps so you can get the ball into the upper playfield, then try to keep it there as long as you can. Which for a one-trick pony isn't a terrible trick...if you ever are allowed to touch the ball.
Upon launch, the ball immediately gets mired in a swamp of pop bumpers, where it can stay bouncing around for up to 30 seconds. It is very normal for the ball, upon finally coming out, to then hit a sling and launch directly into the outlane. Assuming you do manage to have the ball come in range of the flippers, you can then start working on the ramp gimmick, but success at this also tends to send the ball immediately into the outlane - you are punished for hitting the key targets of the game.
You're also punished for missing. Off towards the centre and you're back in the pop bumper minefield, off to the outside and you're probably going to again end up with a slingshot firing the ball into the outlane.
And if RNGeezus does smile upon you to the point where you can hit the three targets required to get a ramp down without diving straight into the gutter, then yes, you can then aim for the top playfield and maybe get some good points up there. But eventually the ball will come out the drop hole...and hit a kicker and likely go straight to the outlane.
Theoretically, a "reflex", a kickback in the form of extra flippers that guard the outlanes and give a single use to save the ball, should mitigate this. But as usual with this table, success typically ends up with punishment, as the ball often then dives directly into the opposite outlane, requiring another reflex save, which again often goes back to the original outlane. And since, like kickbacks in later tables, the reflex has to be earned, there's no reflex option this time.
That's right, you hit a required target, only to have the ball go into an outlane, then make two reflex shots...and still have the ball gutter out. Fucking awesome.
I think it's fair to say that this table - and Farfalla which has similar though less intense issues - are included in the base level bundle simply because no one should want to buy them individually.

Played a game and all 3 balls somehow exited down the side lanes without me getting a single chance to hit the ball. Shit table.

I really do not like the Devil Riders table. It looks very nice. The sounds etc are very good, but it drops the ball down the center too often. In my last game it dropped straight down or off to the left 3 times in a row and 4 balls out of 5. I'm not here to argue that it's unrealistic, I'm just saying it's not at all fun and I don't enjoy it.
