Each one of the four new campaigns is unique in setting and objectives and is fun to play. This addon is also a must buy if you plan to try some custom mods since the majority of them are made for it.

Awesome game!! Not only will you spend hours on the vanilla game, but there's also loads of mods. If you're a Lord of the Rings fan, you're in luck. There's also mods that add to the vanilla game such as more settlements and units. This game is fantastic. I've only played about 60 hours, but I'd recommend this to anyone who likes strategy games. I use to play Civilization 5 all the time, but since I've bought this, Civilization 5 looks so borring now XD.

Its pretty good now go and buy it! Pros : -Great real time battles with thousands of soldiers mixed with great turn based empire management -Fights look cool to watch -Mods! (If you like Lord of the Rings I recomend Third Age Total War) -A great variety of medieval civilizations to choose from -Seige battles! Cons: -Graphics are a bit out dated but that does not really matter -A bit buggy at times (Still better than Rome 2) Overall I would rate this game at a 9.5/10 This game is a must own for any rts fan and in my opinion the best in the Total War series!

A great expansion to an already great game. Highly recommended just for the mods alone, such as Third Age (a LoTR mod), Stainless Steel, and Broken Cresent. The expansions campagins are also really good, much more focused and I'd say faster paced than the originals Grand Campaign.

9.5/10 I had to review this game even in 2022. I bought TW Attila just for the 1212 AD mod, just to replay this experience. I was playing as the Aztec as the Conquistadors came crashing into the east side of my empire. I sent hoards of warriors to fight them. As they and their allies crested the ridge on the battle map, I realized might sometimes cant fight steel. No matter, the OST came to a crescendo as I sent waves after waves of soldiers, and at the moment of victory, they flanked me and routed my army with those beasts they ride. Just a fluke? As I was rutting out the pagans with my warrior monks, when they ambushed me from the forests. I faced them on the battle map, having all but my mounted units getting slaughtered. Battle lost? No my son, I had worked diligently to turn the land +95%, Christian. Nothing can stop a fully leveled, devoted knight of the order. Just three units routed an entire army of Lithuanians. Our losses are only temporary, as we will see our brothers in heaven. But these holy knights didn't fare so well on the walls of Damascus, as my Mamluks sallied out of the besieged castle. The OST, the units, the focused campaign. This in my opinion, is the best TW ever.

If all dlc were like this one, there wouldn't be such hate. It adds vast amount of content. Units, regions, and campaings. I remember spending my days after school paying all the pack had to offer. Those were the days!

I can assure you 1000% this will be worth your money. 1) Without this you cant play a lot of mods 2) 4 new campaigns with a lot more factions and dozens of new units 3) Makes Medieval 2 one of the most replayable games out there

THE pinnacle of Total War "genre". It is by far the most well-done and entertaining game in the whole series, with nothing that came after it coming even close to its glory. While of course it has its cons, such as lack of multi-core support, on recent rigs it handles battles up to ten thousand men with no problem. However, what is the best about this title, is the modding community. You will find mods for everything, even vaguely medieval related: Call of Warhammer (Warhammer Fantasy), Third Age Total War (Lord of the Rings), Stainless Steel (Medieval Europe, basically M2TW how it should've been), Westeros Total War (Game of Thrones) and many others. If you are a medieval warfare fan, this is a must-buy. But, as I want to be fair to everyone who might be willing to buy this game, let me list the greatest cons game has: - Without mods, it's "just" good. - Steam Version contains a bugged, idiotic "launcher", that makes launching mods difficult - AI is not the brightest at times - Steam overlay tends to crash battles - City battles are seriously lacklustre ( they are made enjoyable only recently in Rome 2 Total War ) - Crossbowmen will not fire from walls - Without mods, there are a few quirks the game has (cavalry charge lacking "mass", AI stupider than it has to be, etc) OVERALL, in my humble opinion, this is _THE_ grand strategy/battle game of choice. Don't be fooled by my hour count on steam, I have owned the game since its launch, and have clocked over two thousand hours in this... which, I think, shows just how good the game is.

If only they just built and updated the concept of this game instead of shifting the Total War games that they have in recent years to different styles like Attila Total War, etc. This is by far the best Total War game and includes alot of factors that the newer ones simply drowned out.
