This game is ridiculously complicated to start. Mostly EA's fault. Signed into my EA account after having a difficult time installing and getting it to run in the first place. I was forced to make a username for multiplayer before I could play the campaign, then I was prompted to sign in again after it randomly closed. I made a username again and was prompted to sign in yet again but this time I was told the password was incorrect. After all of this and the fact that it was super wonky after install in the first place I decided it wasnt worth the effort. What a disgrace to the as a follow up to Tiberium Wars. Dont even bother. As a side note, companies should be sued for forcing you to make an account or sign into it in order to use a product you already purchased AFTER you purchased it. You should have to go through the effort of making an account so its clear that is a requirement for the use of the product. Its making me question ever buying an EA game. This might be the final straw. I dont know if I could possibly recommend a game less.

tl;dr: Is it worth to play for the story? barely yes, just because of Kane's existence, though there is no new revelation. Otherwise absolutely no, not worth it. Don't expect new lore details, everything is new and unrelated to previous lore. --- Finished the campaign recently on both sides. I was about to uninstall twice during that, but i really wanted to at least see the "story". I finished the campaign without using high end tech like super weapons because it's all locked behind rank ups. It's just bad. For anyone who is wondering if it's worth playing just for the story, i'd say "barely yes" and that's mainly just because of Kane, might be nostalgia, idk. There is nothing interesting about the story, no new relevant lore pieces or discoveries except the portal, which is sadly totally out of place, in it's appearence and it's purpose in the story (no purpose). Everything that appears in C&C 4 is "new" and absolutely has no ties to previous lore, again, except Kane.

Don't even try to install this trash, I know it's 15 years old at this time, but even in Win7 compatibility mode, the game crashes constantly, the login is a mess, yoou have to log in like 3-4 times, into EA account on EA platform, then into perosna on EA account, then game starts, then you have to fkin login AGAIN into BOTH... just why? And then if you try to start anything, the game crashes out to desktop if you try to launch an actual mission...

Absolute Trash: TWO F&*KING EA LOGINS ..... TWO!! Game is slow, too easy, all units are like bullet sponges, all unit models are terrible looking (like cheap knock off dollar store toys) ... gameplay has been streamlined to the point of being neutered .. just bad ...

Like many others have said, this game has had everything that made C&C what it was gutted from it. Even looking at the gameplay itself, removed from all the baggage of being an incredible letdown to the end of the Tiberian Timeline, it's just not fun. The XP system sucks, the gameplay is no fun, the story is nonsense, and it still remains the only C&C game I've played that I have decided to not finish. I just couldn't do it, it is devoid of the ability to entertain.

I couldn't pass the login screen. I'm very sorry to see a classic abandoned this way. Apparently the gaming culture is not immersed to the people who do this business. I wish that gamer's one day become the owners of these businesses and fix this mentality once and for all.

This game was my childhood. I have fond memories of inserting the disk and playing for hours. So I go to buy it again? Play through it and relive the glory days? Can't log in. It's just not supported anymore. #StopKillingGames
