Excellent job with this module! The flight modle is amazing, you are flying this bad boy from start to finish. This is an unforgiving aircraft, that will force you to imrpove you stills and make you a better virtual pilot. I'm a ground pounder by nature, and this baby delivers. Simple weapon systems, reasonably effective considering the amount of time I've had with it. A real handlful, but so rewarding! The sound design is top shelf, makes you feel like youre there. Love it.

Grinnelli Designs really knocked it out of the park with the F-100D. If you are a fan of Cold War aviation, or have ever dreamed of flying a low-level strike mission ala the strike camera footage you see in every single Vietnam War documentary, you will not be disappointed.
Pros:

The cockpit looks and feels great. Grinnelly managed to strike a nice balance between the cockpit feeling worn/lived-in, but not overly worn down like the stock F-14 cockpit, where cockpit labels are hard to read. The fact you can customize the instrument layout adds a nice touch of personalization, and can be really useful when swapping between mission profiles. The whole cockpit is a J-57 powered vibe, and it really helps immerse you into feeling like you're flying a Cold War strike-fighter workhorse.
Sound design is off the charts. The sound of the engines spooling, the sound of your engine spooling down after you stall the compressor, the chirping of the AN/APR-25 letting you know someone, somewhere, wants you dead. Everything just sounds freaking awesome.
It's a 1950's-era aircraft. While that comes with limitations with regard to avionics, it also is a very straight forward aircraft to learn to fly and utilize in combat. Once you learn how to be gentle with the throttle and avoid low-speed, high-AoA situations, it's not difficult to employ effectively. The included pop-up checklist menu that highlights cockpit elements makes cold starting the aircraft and getting into the action a breeze, even for a totally new Hun driver.
Idk man, it just feels cool, you should probably buy it.

Cons:

The only issue I have encountered thus far with the F-100D is a tendency for the game to freeze when playing in VR. It seems like framerate will slowly start to drop and then eventually the game will freeze, like there's some sort of process that's slowly compounding until it crashes the application. This only occurs for me while flying the F-100D, with the same graphics settings/hardware/servers that I use with other modules without issue. As you can see from my PC specs, I'm not exactly running a budget setup, so random freezes are not something I typically deal with. Given that this is a new release, bugs are to be expected, but if you're exclusively a VR pilot just be forewarned that you may encounter issues. Idk man, you should probably still buy it, it's pretty sick.
The developers knocked it out of the park with this module. The sounds are phenomenal, the detailing is excellent. If you have the F-4 or F-5 already, you’ll be able to learn this one very quickly. It’s a nice change from MFD’s and programming smart weapons. You fly low and fast and drop your ordnance in mass. As for the “Sabre dance” on landing; it hasn’t gotten me. Just keep your speed up on final and don’t get slow and you’ll be fine. I actually found this module easy to fly. I must be doing something wrong. If you like Cold War, analog cockpits, and the nostalgia of the century series aircraft, you won’t regret buying this. It’s a steal for the price in my opinion.

Wow! I wasn´t even hyped about the F-100 but hooolyy.. it blew me away. Such a well made module. Textures, sound, flightmodel are all great. The systems are not complex, easy to get into but you have to concentrate even more so on flying this beast. The Hun doesnt tell you when she dislikes something you did to her.. she shows you. If you get too slow she will dance the sabre dance for you. If you move the throttle too fast, she hits you with multiple loud claps before completly shutting up and ignoring you. Same goes for negative g, pull a bit too long negative g and she will develop an atitude and will also go silent on you. Lovely Features like the customizable cockpit and the gun/strike camera are such a cool addition. I would rate it a 10/10!

Coming from the Phantom this aircraft has been a little tricky especially in the vertical, but other then that it is wonderful to fly and the gun and strike camera are quite cool

Hey its Charms, find my with the boiz @https://discord.gg/Yav3xtMpfZ ! Yes the F100, she is a tasteful jet that has surprisingly smart systems and function for her age yet still will absolutely kill you if you fly her the least bit wrong. she demands you to understand her and be a good airmen, in return she gives you a jet that checks all the fun boxes. shes a blast to fly, the gun camera is unreal. she definitely gives you that early Vietnam days feel. if your wondering is she worth the money, Id buy it twice. absolutely worth it. great airplane!

I didn't intend to get the F-100D intitally, but at this price-point and the recent community friction in regards to Heatblur's F-14B(U) pricing I felt compelled to show support for Grinelli Designs' first entry into DCS. Fresh out of the box the F-100D is already a very well done module and the fidelity of this jet is on par with the best modules in DCS. Positively, I think there's still some room for growth and it is exciting to think how much further this module will develop during the early access period. I have only zipped around with it for a whee bit so far, but I got to say, the Super Sabre is much better-behaved than I had feared. Gentle handling of stick and throttle make this a very smooth experience. It's quite nice actually. Well done Grinelli Designs

(Quick&dirty review after a few hours of flight) TLDR : it is magnificent. Get it. Do you like the F-86 Sabre ? Do you like the F-4 Phantom ? Well, the F100 lies in-between. :))) It flies very well (as long as you stay within the envelope), a bit quirky at times, but a very enjoyable ride. I like it better than e.g. the free A-4 (for the life of me I can't make this bird perform !). Just don't go slow and don't get on the backside of the power curve, especially when landing. As historically ! GGWP Visually, the cockpit is very well modeled, lighting at night is good, lots of working switches everywhere and textures are quite nice. Sounds are *really* good, and more generally they are cleverly used to convey a lot of useful feedback to the pilot. For example, the afterburner has a nice audible kick and roar, buffeting near stall AoA is well rendered. Compressor stalls also have nice sounds, in general that part is spot-on. I *really* appreciated this. Still discovering all the systems that are modeled but so far, it is a very (very) impressive addition to the DCS family. Tip of the hat to the Grinelli team, they delivered.
