The game is a top down shooter with cool locales & views in the background and music fitting the atmosphere. The difficulty took some time getting used to but gladly there are checkpoints and you also keep the upgrades you have already found. I have to say that the game is a bit rough around the edges. For example moving between platforms of different height isn't always smooth and you may neet to move around to get unstuck.

You're Johnny Graves (Son of Satan), who is tasked by heaven to try and banish the forces of hell back to where they came. Basically this is a top-downish style horror shooter. Think Diablo, but with guns.
I was actually enjoying this game for quite a while before I died and was sent back to the beginning of a stage (like 10-15 minutes of lost progress). Granted, when you die enemies do not respawn, and you keep any upgrades you find. My major gripe is that I had to run all the way across the level again after I got 2 shot in a boss fight (oh by the way, bosses are very tough). There really needs to be a checkpoint system, specifically before a boss fight. I would have recommended this if I didn't get frustrated and quit the game after the 3rd death and 30+ minutes of running back through an entire stage.
PROS
-The story is interesting, and I like the dialogue cut scenes
-I enjoy the Diablo style top down element of this game. Would like to see more games done in this style.
-Sound track was decent
-Graphics are okay for what this is, think maybe Playstation 2 graphics
-Magic abilities are neat
-Level design allows multiple paths to be taken to get to the end
-Shooting and movment felt responsive and hit detection was not a problem
CONS
-No checkpoint system throughout a level. Get killed by a boss and run all the way back from a stage beginning.
-Boss fights can be very difficult, only a con if you dislike hard difficulty

Johny Graves is Satan's son, but he kind of looks and acts like he wishes he change his last name to Constantine. Handy with a six-shooter and a handful of spells, after a few centuries of working for the family business he's decided to fight for the good guys when hell makes a play to take over the world. The writing is serviceable, but the plot is really bare-bones, pretty much just an excuse to let you kill a lot of demons on urban environments.
The store page says it's an ARPG, but it really really isn't; It's an action game with a pickups that raise your stats. I'd describe it as a twin-stick shooter, but the controls are strictly mouse and keyboard. They're functional, making things harder than they should be but also allowing for some things that would be tricky on a pad - like aiming at spiders hanging off a high place.
The environments are pretty detailed and the music is great, if not really memorable. It's a pretty short game (finished it in just under two hours), and that actually works in its favor. Far more of a problem is that it's plagued by frequent traversal problems - it seems Johnny hasn't learnt to deal with ankle-high obstacles very well, causing him to get stuck on the level geometry fairly often. This is a problem in a game where backpedalling is pretty vital.
Still, it's fun enough while it lasts - pretty good for a tiny indie game.
