An expansion and a half's worth of new birds for the price of just one expansion. Almost as many birds as the base game! All Bird Packs (once complete): 150 New Birds, 0 New Bonus Cards Base Game (inc. Swifts): 180 Birds, 26 Bonus Cards Oceania: 95 New Birds, 5 New Bonus Cards, Nectar Mechanic Asia: 90 New Birds, 14 New Bonus Cards Europe: 81 New Birds, 5 New Bonus Cards Americas Expansion: 151 New Birds, 8 Bonus Cards, Hummingbird Garden Mechanic (currently only available for the the original over-the-table version) My only complaint with these packs is that almost all cards are of Holarctic bird species. Which makes sense from a marketing standpoint since those are the places with the most English speakers, but also results in a game which was already heavily biased in favor of species from the Holarctic bioregion even more so. I'm hoping things become more balanced with any future expansions and/or bird packs. We need Afrotropical and Indomalayan birds!

So 150 additional cards over the span of 2 years. Well, ok Just no more "bank it or risk it all" type of cards, please. I hated them enough in the Asian expansion

More birds is always a good thing. While 150 birds for the cost of an expansion is better value per bird, there's no new methods of playing, just the same types of cards, but I like having tons of species of birds.
