Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition Official Soundtrack Steam Charts & Stats

Nice score for everyday.

Well, a classic soundtrack of a sequel. (Preferring the BG1 one, though.)

You MUST buy this. Great audio quality, much better than in the game.

You all know that feeling when you roll the dices and you get a 92 but you clicked too fast so you skipped it and then you try for another 30 minutes and all you ever get is 87.

Iconic OST of a true classic that shall be revered as the father of many great RPGs...

Lovely soundtrack. So many memories, and it's interesting to hear odd stuff that was left out of the game, like "Kalah's Theme". The music for [i]Shadows of Amn[/i] was composed by Michael Hoenig, who broadened his mainly medieval style from the original [i]Baldur's Gate[/i] into more of a fantasy-fusion: I hear elements that evoke everything from the age of exploration, to Imperial Rome, to eastern bazaars, but the overall effect is something that sounds both authentic and totally unique to the Forgotten Realms. [i]Throne of Bhaal[/i] brought Inon Zur and Howard Drossin on board which really contributed to the more epic feel of the final chapter in the Bhaalspawn saga. [i]Throne of Bhaal[/i]'s music goes full-on heroic epic, mythological, Biblical. Just listen to "Melissan's Theme" or "Forest of Tethyr"! They really get you pumped up for Godhood. Sam Hulick's contributions to the Enhanced Editions shouldn't be overlooked either. Tracks like "The Hidden Refuge" fit in seamlessly with the earlier style of Hoenig, as well as being nice pieces in their own right. My only criticisms are with the presentatio.: "Nightmare in the Docks" should be "Nighttime in the Docks"; and I dislike having parentheses after most of these tracks: "(Previously Unreleased)", "(ToB)", "(Unreleased)", "(BGII:EE)" etc. etc. A small thing, but it messes things up for us OCD types who have last.fm and like everything to have a "definitive" title, which I think should avoid parentheses.

[h1][b]Review of:[/b] [i]Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition Official Soundtrack[/i][/h1] Well, in a nutshell: a legendary soundtrack for a legendary game. This music brings so many good memories of all epic adventures, heroic battles, glorious loot and most importantly - an unforgettable story with unique characters. This is the good old [i]Baldur’s Gate II[/i] that I remember. The whole album features 82 tracks, including 34 previously unreleased pieces. The soundtrack for [i]Shadows of Amn[/i] was composed by Michael Hoenig, who also created music for the original [i]Baldur’s Gate[/i]. However, the soundtrack for [i]Baldur’s Gate II[/i] is definitely more fantasy-like as opposed to the mediaeval style of music presented in the prequel. This music is simply perfect for both heroic battles and casual travelling through the universe of Forgotten Realms. Then, there’s the soundtrack for the expansion [i]Throne of Bhall[/i] composed by Inon Zur and Howard Drossin. Their music is just pure epicness, perfect for the concluding chapter of the Bhaalspawn Saga. Finally, there’s the soundtrack for the [i]Enhanced Edition[/i] composed by Sam Hulick, who also knows how to make music, as he proved himself in the remastered version of the original [i]Baldur’s Gate[/i] and its expansion [i]Siege of Dragonspear[/i]. Well, after all, I wholeheartedly recommend this DLC whether you’re a soundtrack collector and want to have another one in your Steam Library or you just feel nostalgic about [i]Baldur’s Gate II[/i] or you simply like good pieces of music. Besides, the price for 82 tracks is reasonable, especially during a sale.

Probably the best original score for a video game ever. Absolutely epic.
