Score: 1/5; I do not recommend Trapped Dead
PC; Win 10 64-bit; Trapped Dead v1.1.0.0 uncompleted; playing time: 3 hrs Pros: + an interesting beginning of the game at the gas station, promising an engrossing continuation + noteworthy mechanics of presenting the stages of the plot Cons: - controls are rather annoying; you have to use the keyboard to move the camera - there are no settings - no audio or video settings..., nothing... - most importantly, the game won't run; I tried to run it several times and most of the times it wouldn't run; I managed to only run it twice - above all, Trapped Dead caused my computer to reset several times; this is the first time that any game on Steam has done so, which makes it worthy of a negative review... All in all, I suggest avoiding this game. Although the setting and the presentation seem interesting (provided you actually manage to run the game), Trapped Dead clearly suffers from serious technical problems which go far beyond its pesky controls or even lack of any settings. Due to the risk of accidental resets, it is likely to be dangerous to your computer, putting your computer file integrity at risk. It's a crying shame as, in my opinion, the game has got great potential...

I actually regret buying this game but it is +1 to my list! Graphics: The graphics are top down view with no overal massive leap or anything worth wild. It just looks like every other top down view game, so do not expect much from this. Audio: The audio of this game I found bizarre, on the records that sounds seem overally loud, example a zombie far away you can hear.. Guns sound like cannons etc, walking, hitting etc are all super loud where in places they do not need to be. Controls: Very easy and simple to grasp, do not expect anything hard which is good because a top down view game should be easy to do. Everything else: Campaign super quick (Less than 2hours), and actually gives me a headache playing it. I tried to play this coop and was more hassle than anything else and no fun I found. Would I recommend this game? No! Not even as a free product. Clicking and going and not worth the time or money in any aspect of the game.

Zombie genre... raised on the love of fear and cliches, which makes you shiver and comfortable at one time. So, this particular example, "Trapped Dead", is a top-down tactical game in real time. It is no shooter, neither action like "Diablo", where all you need is to click faaaster. There you have to advance slowly, be ready to run backward, count every bullet, and killing zombies one-by-one. Flawlessly, if possible, because if they get you only a scratch, you will bleed, and that will attract much more undead... You gonna need some skill with controls, certainly. Most of the reviews on Steam are negative, for typical reasons: people who bought the game wasn't ready for it. 1) it is slow-paced and needs patience and tactical thinking much more than quick-reflexes 2) it can be buggy, at least in some cases, as I see. I suppose that somewhat portraying basic user who dislike that game - a schoolboy with weak PC and without skills to tune it and patience to simply let it go. Me personally, never had any serious trouble, maybe freeze one or two times when I alt-tabbed game for a couple of hours on the office PC with built-in video... On the normal systems with up-to-date software, it runs fine. For me, the only real down-side was lack of ammo. It is so cliche, you know... So! I do recommend that game, but only if you ready to beat zombies with melee weapons at a slow-paced tactical game with controls like in "command&conquer". The story is basic enough - get a team, get supplies, find a way out. Not a bad game overall, nothing fancy, but deserves 6.2/10 mark. Just not suited for impatient schoolboys.

Would have been a really fun game if it weren't for those pesky non-responsive controls! I'm trying to run but it makes me walk. I'm supposed to auto-hit but it switches to manual hitting. I try to save but it magically makes me go down a path that doesn't exist and then I get stuck? All of these technical problems really killed the game for me. I gave it a fair shot but not a single bullet hit a bulls-eye, let alone an actual target. You'll definitely feel helpless and trapped dead with the awful controls.

Besides the game being good in general terms, it is still a lot of bugs, like the inventory dissappearing. Also, the game is poorly programmed and there is TONS of lagging and latency in the mouse (even if your PC is good). Sorry guys but it needs great improovement (the mechanics are great and the story is good but the bugs ruin it).

5-Star Fail. Clearly, this game was released before being fully developed. It is pretty bad on a lot of levels. The maps and graphics overall are actually decent but that's about it. It isn't fun or rewarding at all, just clunky and buggy. Enjoyment only came from laughing at how bad it is, and gaining extra disk space when uninstalling.

Ive completed this game, and whilst all the negative reviews are correct about the bad controls and interface, if your patient you will find there is a good game underneath all the bad stuff. I enjoyed it, and i persisted in finishing it despite the bugs.

Good game. I finish it in a little less than 30 hours. At first I was not sure about getting it, cause, as you can see, it was badly rated. Then i realized that most negative comments came from people that barely played it. So, it was pretty cheap and with cards, so not much to lose in any case. For the way people talks about this you would think is a bug fest that crashes all the time, but that's simply not true. I had zero crashes. Bugs, not exactly, just a few mechanics that could be better. At times a character can get stuck for a bit behind another or might need a few extra clics to shot or hit a zombie. Nothing is game breaking and you get pretty much accustomed to it rather quickly. Also, there's no real issue with the interface. And, most important, you can give instructions while the game is paused. So, actually, is very easy to control the action. The game is not a combat game, is a tactics game in the likes of Commandos. Nevertheless, you can shot plenty if that's what you like. At the end, the objective is to complete the maps in the most efficient way. As in Commandos, is a little bit of a puzzle where you need to think for a moment about the best approach to any situation. There are traps to lure the zombies in, for instance. There are blood packs that you can use on one of your characters or throw them to the zombies. That would work in different ways. There are a few surprises regarding the zombies too, at times there are much more of them than you would think. There are six characters with different skills. There are several weapons, even granades, so is not like it's lacking variety. The graphics are good and the game is good looking overal, with nice effects and decent voices. The story is just your typical zombie story but, really, what's so original about zombies since the "Night of the living dead"? It's always about some dudes trying to survive. Runs without problems on win 7. Usually, I don't use so much space for a review, but the hate for this game is way off-base. Is it a gem? Nope. Are there better similar games out there? Probably and likely. But this ain't no trash nor deserving of such a bad fame. Is a very entertaining game with several good things and I do recommend it as something that is worth your dime and time.

I don't understand why everyone is against this game. It is not the game of the year but it is not a bad game either. There is strategy, the story is basic and the map are good. A little buggy but not more than any other game.

Has potential, but terrible controls combined with anti-user interface makes it not fun to play. It would be okay, if it was ten year old game ... but its just two years :-(
