For context - I have never been a fan of trains, nor have I had an interest in Japanese culture, before I played this game. I don't watch anime, I've never had any sort of interest in the country before. This game was so good it legitimately turned me into a nerd for Japanese railways. I love this game. The atmosphere, the signage, the railways, the way the trains handle, everything about it is great. It perhaps could use some optimisation, my gaming PC runs it at low and medium graphics settings, but the game itself and the attention to detail is amazing. This was made by a guy with passion and it's easy to see. And for over half the price of typical AAA games. DEFINITELY worth the buy.

Sick game with a super fun arcade-like game loop. Graphics look great for a 2GB game. Really optimized. Scenery looks amazing!

This game is the smoothest best looking train simulator I've ever played in my low-end rig, and my GTX1650 can handle it perfectly. OMG I'm fall in love with this game. Anyone who loves Japan, train, and relaxing game should buy this game!

Really good game, if you're tired of DTG and Train Sim World then this is perfect for you. - Graphics are gorgeous, this game NEEDS a photo mode so you can show it off - Sounds are very immersive - Scenery and details make TSW look like a PS3 game, just watching Japan fly by is a joy, especially with the spring blossom falling or winter snow. Great draw distance, grass sways with the wind, sakura blowing across the track, detailed cars and buildings. - Three nice trains, couple of nice routes, you can see there are more routes to be added. - Easy to get into, hard to master. Perfect level of difficulty and adjustable to your liking. - Performance is very good for me, game looks amazing and runs at a steady 80 FPS. Excited to see where this game goes, the dev deserves credit for showing up bigger studios with this level of quality.

So one Asian guy made a train sim that's better than anything on the market, other than Derail valley. And he didn't need 1000 $ of dlc either. Just goes to show you how pathetic the gaming industry is. The game runs well, its looks phenomenal, sounds phenomenal and plays well. Obviously it still needs work. More immersion, more controls (like door controls), adding passages maybe and of course more trains and missions. Man what I wouldn't give to see a steam loco in this game, maybe modders will do it one day. Also the addition of a lifebar is genius. It gives you a sense of urgency that was sorely missing from these games. But yeah, so far, very impressive stuff. Can't wait for more to be added. Hopefully the initial spike of popularity helps the dev reach all his goals. Well done.
Absolutely breathtaking graphics. Seamless gameplay, bug free.
I watch a lot of Japanese trainspotting and cab ride videos and have a dedicated YouTube account to watch them. This game is so immersive that every once a while I forget to touch the controls thinking that I'm watching a cab ride on YouTube. Early access!?! In 2026, the developer could publish this as a full launch title and I wouldn't see any problem with it. Great pricing too. This developer has laid a roadmap out and also written down a frequently asked questions section, which is to the point and honestly this is just UNREAL. A single person has done what huge teams with years of experience and multiple titles could not; Making a smooth, visually pleasing train simulator, being transparent and laying out a roadmap, without overcharging. Excellent game. Put a wide smile on my face while I played.
Note for the developer;
A) Would like to see multiple light modes/in cab light control/gauge cluster light control. B) Would love to see a DLC with a long overnight train service on a 400km+ route. C) Would love to see a scenery oriented DLC for a speed capped luxury train route based on "Train Suite Shiki-shima" or "Twilight Express Mizukaze". D) Would love to see trains based on the following, as DLC: 1. The 0 Series Shinkansen 2. The E001 series "Train Suite Shiki-shima" 3. The E259 series 4. The E235 series 5. The E353 series 6. The E653 series 7. The 285 series "Sunrise Express" 8. The 87 series "Twilight Express Mizukaze" 9. The 789-1000 "Super Kamui" 10. The E261 series 11. The E655 series 12. The 215 series 13. The 385 series 14. Class 923 "Doctor Yellow" 15. The Seibu 001 series "Laview" 16. The Sotetsu 13000 series 17. The Nankai 50000 series 18. The Odakyu 50000 series VSE 19. The Odakyu 70000 series GSE 20. The Kintetsu 80000 series "Hinotori"

What team of devs were not able to deliver was delivered by a single dev!!!! talk about some skill issue (dovetail has been chickening out for a while now) WE CANT FIX THE SLOPINESSS AS THATS IN THE ENGINEEEEEEE..!!! Blehhhh!! Running TRAIN is freaking masterpiece a huge W to all RAIL SIM fans, I get around 70-80 FPS on 1440p maxed settings, but brooooo beauty of this game is unmatched and SMOOTHNESSSSSSSSS is 1000000% 40FPS will not even feelsss 40 (lowering the GPU power limit can get you low FPS), This game doesnt chip, stutter or lag. For a solo dev he is pushing updates really very fast. Got 2 updates right after having the game. You know it keeps getting better and better. I would really love to see some other passenger/freight cars with more lines(as there are only two for now). You can GO for itttttttttttt!!!!!!

Honestly, not sure where to start. So much is good, it's hard to narrow it down... As someone who has played various train simulators for many years now, this game, even in it's early stages is an absolute breath of fresh air. It looks fantastic, and runs very well in comparison to Train Sim World, also on the Unreal Engine. The physics are incredibly good, the cabins have nice crisp textures. I can't find a single negative point. The game is also made by one dev, incredibly... I don't speak a single word of Japanese, but the game is still 100% playable to those who also can't speak it. If this game takes off, and starts getting some more diverse rolling stock and routes, it could very well be the train simulator to de-throne TSW (and I hope it does)!

It's INSANE that just one guy made this. No UE stutter, 2.5GB download, 4GB install, looks incredible, sounds incredible, plays incredible. WTF is going on?! Are other game devs all that bad?!
