edit:: Aight, I'm gonna go ahead and downvote this. These levels are so damn ridiculously long and slow. I would like to beat it but my gawd what a trudge, and the dash seems to execute quite poorly diving thru lasers and lvl.4 boss's body. You know it's not even that hard, but this game feels like your stuck on an elevator. Molasses. I do not think I can play this a 3rd time.
::original thoughts::
MAn, when you are so close to having a winner, but for some odd reason you leave voice acting out of this beautiful world.
Alright, so you've got some great anime shots, nice 3D world, and man, it is just lifeless without voice-acting.
Good concepts. Tho the dash seems to be iffy on the lvl 4 boss which just now pissed me off... and actually, the hitbox on this ship is funky and I felt like sometimes I was just getting lucky (some bullets and ships would sometimes hit me or I'd pass through them, and like I come out fine).
Wish the ship could feel more powerful, but a single fire shot or slow spread shot is all you get.
There are four elements to try out so it is a neat concept tho I mostly have just used ice shield 24/7 in the game.
No saves available. But I think the game might only be 5 stages, and if you try to shoot down everything then some of the levels are just real long... 13-15 mins on a shmup lvl, hot damn. However, a person could prob just zip through most of it without stopping to fire a bullet.
Lvl 2 music needs more umpf. Like that lvls music is "taking a nap, new age, shaky, shaky, doing some reiki" type music.
Back to lvl 4's boss. Haha, I was not expecting his movements given how the previous 3 bosses are. I wouldn't even been too pissed about it right now if that dang, zippity-dodge maneuver worked better on him but I seemed to just get blown up trying to zip through it.
For the $2.39 I spent, I'm gonna give this a thumbs up. If it had voice acting, a touch more immersive soundtrack, more levels, a power-up or two that made me feel a bit more powerful than it'd easily be worth full price.
Aight, final word. It's a nice looking, relaxing shmup, definitely worth it on sale.

Colorful, brash and difficult in all the right ways.
Boiling Bolt had me yelling at my screen, but it also had me wanting to play more.
Solid art style, great soundtrack, intuitive gameplay.
Well worth your time.

Super strange. Awkward...
One shmup on a 2D plan, itself on a 3D plan so, you stick to a 2D rail while you move and shoot but this rail have a Z axis that is often used. Even your bullets follow the rail, very strange. Confusing... bizarre.
Visuals are not bad for the background but vessels are really simplistic.
Too much manga for me. Classic arcade cabinet music. Some sort of fast paced techno jungle.
Moving anything on your controller skip the animated scenes. This is also confusing. And it is immediate. No transition, no wait. You move, it skips. Brutal.
I would recommend it only if you want to experiment a strange shmup.
Today it was something like 3$ with just a fistful of reviews 5 years after it came out. That is why I added it to my library. Considering that price, I wont ask for a refund and I won't even say it is bad. I may also give it another try but I admit that after 12mn in, I already need a break and I am going to try another game. I was not ready for that. So, the thumb down.

Interesting concept, very well done in most aspects, cool tutorial, but the gameplay itself is pretty boring and slow. One standard weapon that fires balls with the speed of an old grandma and some more or less useless second fire guns/perks. The upgrade system is meh. I wish more Shmups were like Raptor, Tyrian & Jets'n'Guns.

Game has all the fixin's for a great title like multiple modes and the ability to collect crystals from fallen enemies to upgrade
but the game play itself bounces back and forth between dull and frustrating.
I blame it on being confined within a ribbon that wraps back and forth in 2.5D
and the bullet-time system
