A pretty good addition, featuring unique levels such as a WW1 setting with airplane attacks, a WW2 super train (a pretty difficult level, one of the hardest in the game) that zooms trough the level every now and then and more. Bought at full pice and did not regret it. Side note - as you can see on the screenshots the devs used the colorblindness mode which is actually an improvement on the normal mode with icons and colors. Letters are more easy to recognize, memorize than colors and especially symbols. Like there are 3 different symbols that all kinda represent industry.

A very nice DLC. Not just new maps, but some of them have new mechanics as well. Challenging. Takes the game a step further. Really enjoyed it.

This DLC was both a challenge and a nuisance. It was definitely a step up from the base game in terms of difficulty, which is great and I like that. If you found Japan difficult (which it was in my opinion at least), this DLC takes it up another notch. However, there were times where it felt like "luck" in getting specific train routes and stations up first was a huge factor in level success, which is a bit of a downside since this game is about optimum strategies and here, you can get screwed in a level. Still, I felt that the DLC was worth the $2 I paid for it, and if you like the base game and want a challenge, give it a go.

AWESOME the challenges this adds to the game! Staying solvent while planes bomb your tracks at innoportune times is not so easy. I love it.

Train Valley Germany looks pretty cool, but apparently I have to finish the main game in order to play it. If I ever get around to that and find it to be an amazing dlc, I may change my review. For now, I'd like to say that it's just plain silly to lock out the Germany tab. It's not like there's some story to follow or anything like that.

This DLC Adds a new Season to Train Valley, settled in Germany. Like with the previous Seasons you get 6 new missions with three Expert Goals each. Some of the Expert Goals are new, and adds some fresh challenge into the missions if you’re going for them. And since we’re talking about challenges. After you finished the first mission of the DLC, the difficult rises to a whole new Level, which you can’t compare with the main game. So, if you dislike it, that the game gets even harder than in the last missions of the main game, I wouldn’t recommend buying the DLC. Otherwise. If you liked the main game, and you’re looking for more, and have no problem with a greater difficulty, then you came to the right place, and I can fully recommend this DLC to you.
Train Valley is a great game, the DLC is bad.
After playing this DLC there is only 1 reason for anyone to buy this DLC, and that is if you want to get all the achievements in this game. What’s Wrong With This DLC This DLC was made terribly, it seems that the developers wanted to add this DLC as the final world, so therefore make it that hardest. This DLC will rip your patience because the way the developers made these levels harder than the rest was by forcing players to build their tracks in a very specific technique otherwise you will fail game after game. So it leaves you only with the option to either look up a walk through or mess around making different combinations until you finally guess it correctly.

The DLC is not enjoyable compared to the main game. First level immediately requires to NOT use pause, which is a main feature of the game. Second level introduces a new game mechanic with NO EXPLANATION, which randomly blows up your trains, your tracks, or both. From those two, it is obvious that the developers saw the DLC as just a money grab. Annoying, but I guess I fell for it. Adding insult to injury: DLC introduces achievements that you cannot otherwise unlock, just reinforcing the "money grab" sensation I get from those guys. Granted, the DLC is cheap, but in my view it's the principle of it. The levels in this DLC are not challenging - they entirely depend on what the RNG throws at the player - this got nothing to do with the feeling of the main game, which is a huge disappointment in my view. DON'T BUY unless you are a sucker for punishment and like ridiculously dumb game "features". (Bomb dropping airplanes and a bulldozing "mega train", yeah right.)

Original game is great, but this DLC is not. First, it tells you to do things like destroy your own trains or send them to the wrong stations in order to complete challenges, which breaks immersion and beats the purpose of the game. Then, it brings levels that are based on luck. You send a train on its path, and then there is a short warning of a bigger train comming your way, but it comes in just a few seconds and hits your train, destroying it and making it impossible to earn a challenge. And if you order your train to stop, you also lose a challenge. There is nothing to learn or try differently, you just lost because the bigger train ran over you. Bad luck, try again. So the DLC is just the game abusing its own gimmicks. Feels like lazy game design to me.

This is a lot tougher than the original game. If you beat all the challenges and are looking for something a little meatier, this is for you. It can be frustrating at time, so be warned, the difficulty leap is quite large. If you get easily frustrated, or expect a cakewalk, don't buy it, this challenge is not for you, and you are not a train master.
