Maybe even harder than the first game but equally fun.
It's same feeling as the darkest dungeon franchise - both great games but the common denominator is the brutal degree of difficulty. But since the game is awsome, and you wanna stay awsome, you muster up even more sisu to face the challenges ahead. And you fail..yet again and again..
4,5 / 5 smashed pc screens
would play again in this or the next life..maybe.
Classic action card-rpg that every fan of the genre must play!

Game started out good but quickly got stuck in a rut with repetition and little novelty.
even with a lot of unlocked things you still end up doing the same quest multiple times in the hope of getting the right conditions in the quest to hit on one of your sidekick storylines at the point where you can actually attempt it instead of too early when you do not have enough of a material to try (food, gold, specific gear, etc) or too late where you have used your material to survive the main quest line XD.
also you are forever stuck as melee, no real ranged or mage option.

Fun, almost infinitely replayable. I have hundreds of hours on Xbox too across both games

If you played Hand of Fate 1, then you are going to love this game. It is just better than its predecessor in almost every way. The portal dynamic for entering an encounter gets old fast, but if that is the only negative, then pretty good right? I think the price is steep at currently USD $29.99, but at a 50% discount I would put this as an 8/10 and higher as the discount deepens. Add this one to your wishlist and buy it when the discount is worth it to you.

very cool game! this might be the ultimate board game.
Every scenario is unique, and the game throws at you seemingly random chances, but once you understand the little tricks the odds get better

I wanted to like this game , but it really didn't improve upon the first. You are better off just playing the first game if you haven't already.
Combat is janky and repetitive. Basically attack enemies and press counter when the symbol above their head flashes. Enemy variety is limited and gear does not make a noticeable difference.
Way too much reliance on luck/chance. I understand this is part of the genre but it becomes annoying very fast being locked out of things that are literally a dice roll when you need to restart the entire quest to try again. You will have to see the same story card 10+ times because it requires a game of chance to "complete".
Feels like there were a lot of cool ideas here that all got put in a blender and just didn't come out in a cohesive way. There is some good writing and atmosphere but the game play just feels untested and half baked.
