Have really enjoyed my single player time with this game.
I tend to try most Tower Defence games and this one is a "keeper".
Found it a bit hard at first (took about an hour) until I worked out most of the nuances.
Different tactics are required for various levels, so you can be kept on your toes.
Encountered a couple of graphical glitches, but they were of no consequence.

NOT A LOCAL COOP GAME.
(There is local coop, if you enjoy placing turrets with one joystick, but it's painful.)
Also, the game itself is very repetitive, and the meta progression is _slow_. Plus, there are a few bugs. Keep your bucks for another thing if you were looking for a cooperation game.

Mediocre tower defence. It would be neutral rating if possible.
+ Targeting options for towers is useful.
+ Speed control button press half hour level in 10 minutes.
+ sometimes you need to think about how exactly upgrade your towers.
+ 2 types of bonuses:
1) on the map after killing bosses you may choose bonus for some type of towers
2) after each attemp you may choose some tiny stackable bonuses like +0,2% range. After few hours, summary +13% is kind of nice.
– Only 12 maps, with 4 modes on each.
– Boring maps and mobs.
– No hotkeys and shitty controls.
– Lack of types of towers, imbalansed towers (I didn't build 3 of them at all).
– Game is very easy.

I was excited to try this as i was looking forward to a fun CO OP PC tower defence game.
Unfortunately, for me this was just not a fun experience.
Trying to play split screen on a tv was the worst part. for a game that totes multiplayer as a core component the entire interface just makes the game a chore to play. Everything is way to small and the controls make little sense when trying to play with a controller.
The difficulty seems to ramp up like crazy in single player as well. even the first level was a pain, with it getting brutally difficult by 10-15 waves in.
Will check back later and see if there have been any updates to make the game more enjoyable but for now i wouldn't be able to reccomend this to anyone except hardcore fans of the Genre.

Alright, I've plowed through about 10 hours now and I think I have the gist of it.
The good:
The grind is relaxed yet satisfying. Even if you only play 10 rounds and lose, you always get someting out of it; 0.1% damage here and 0.2% range there. I think those small rewards are pretty clever, and it doesn't seem to be too lengthy either. I'm guessing another 5-10 hours and I'm done with the 100% achievements. Graphics and atmosphere is charming. Levels and tower-balance are so-so, nothing remarkable, On my poor budget I'd say this game is probably worth a $3-$5, (but then again I'm a hard core tower defense fan, and I've seen my fair share of really shitty tower defense.)
The bad:
What really gets to me though are the small, really simple issues, that soon a year after release really, REALLY should have been fixed. Like every map has 30 waves, when you complete them there is a "Congrats, you have cleared all 40 waves!"-message. It's a small and silly thing really, but since you get to see it after every map you start to sarcasticly roll with your eyes after a little while. There is this "continous mode" without any down time between waves. After all 30 waves have spawned the "completion fireworks" set off, even though you have yet to clear the last 4 waves.
And the game is riddled with those small things. Nothing game breaking mind you, yet enough to annoy. Move this button five pixels so the mouse scroll works in all directions? Maybe fix the most glaring text messages? Allow to cancel out of tower building with right-click. There are also things that I'm sure would take longer to fix, but a few keyboard shortcuts would really not hurt, and perhaps another round to fix some visual glitches.
The "Ahh, Im done with this shit let's push it to steam and forget all about it"-attitude has really been hammered into me the past hours.
Still though, it's still a nice little game. Hey Dev! Yes, you! Take some pride in your creation! Polish up the last few things as well! (If you actually care about it I believe I can compile together a list of things to fix, but for now I figured you know about most of it but couldn't be bothered to do something about it).

I had enjoyed this game at first, but it sadly broken and as near as I can tell, unsupported.
The crux of the game is strategic upgrades. They are very incremental and there turned out to be a massive amount of grinding required, with only three maps to grind on, which got very repetitive.
The broken part however was that the upgrades were not being saved all of the time. I got extra damage up to +.05%, then every time I added to that, when I would quit out and return anything beyond that would have vanished, it stayed at .05%.
That caused me to uninstall the game and change this review to negative.
In addition I found some monsters were just so fast my towers could not target them, they would just walk right thru my defenses, and there was no upgrade that looked like it would deal with that issue.
Three thumbs down, avoid at any price.

This game should have been a Pre Alpha for $5, save your money and buy something else!
First off, the game forces you to use a gamepad, you can not navigate the menu without using an xbox controller or something similar. The view controls in the game do not work, you should be able to press X and manuver the camera but you get no response when you try to do this.
The interactive menus for the game are incredibly awkward to use, in order to place turrets, you must hold down L1 and select the type of turret that it displays on the bottom of the screen. Then in order to upgrade the turrets later in the game you have to use a 'cursor' by holding down the R1 button which latches onto turrets magnetically. The only problem is you are encouraged to group turrets incredibly close together so the magnet feature of the cursor does not work well when you are playing the game.
Gameplay is awful, the turrets do not have finished animations for their actions, the later gatling gun, doesn't even have any way to see that it is firing. You can not select the enemies or mouse hover to see how their health is reacting to your turrets, you are only given an incredibly small health bar above each one. Also, there is no difference between any of the enemies, airborne enemies are damaged by earthquake towers and the missle towers attack ground units. Basically you only get one type of enemy with different skins applied to it.
There is no explanation of how you get money either, it just randomly accrues while you kill enemies and if you're expecting some kind of LoL or DotA animations for showing money that you're making you will be disappointed. The font is too small to see for upgrading turrets if you're playing on a large screen TV like in a living room which is a problem games used to have about 5 years ago with the introduction of large screen LCD/LED tv's that most games have fixed nowadays.
There is no music for the game either, you spend 30 minutes listening to pops and thuds of your turrets firing, and the enemies don't even have complete sound files for when they die (most of the time they just fall over without generating a death sound).
This game has all the trademarks of bad programming and should have been finished with much better attention to detail. I bought the game after searching for a local Coop Steam game and got tricked into buying this thing. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Look, this is not the best tower defense game ever made, it's not the second, or third, or fourth best... but it does something no other tower defence game (and very few games in general) do, it offers full controller support for up to 4 people and allows everyone to play on the screen on one level all at the same time...
I've already tried it with a few friends and its loads of fun, and even though there were other tower defence games out there....

I cannot recommend this one, even at its current price point.
It seems to have been designed for a console, with PC support added as something of an aftertought. It wants you to use a controller. The gameplay itself is about as basic as one can get with tower defense. The critters move along a path, you shoot them.
Oh, those unique towers?
1. The cheap tower.
2. The splash damage tower.
3. The slowing tower.
4. The damage over time tower.
5. The chain damage tower.
It does have multiplayer, but local only - no networked gaming.
You won't find anything new or innovative here. Pass on this one.
It does run, and the graphics are okay, but that's about it for the positives.

After exactly 60 minutes playing DD and countless hours playing other TD games, here are my thoughts.
I finished the first level (40 waves) after 2 tries. It felt long and I wanted it to be over sooner. 30 minutes is way too long for a round of td to last unless its endless mode or something like SC2 Arcade Squadron TD where multiplayer is involved.
The graphics are pretty good a solid 8/10 for td games.
I like that you can generally place towers wherever you want. but I don't like that the path is set and there's no mazing.
You get upgrade points every 5 waves that let you boost a tower. I used Tesla so I took "hits 2 targets" at 5 and 3 targets at 10 , 15 is a waste with no bonus just to unlock "advanced" bonuses such as +10% range damage or attack spd. By wave 40 I had +20% damage, +20% Attack Speed and Tesla hits 3 targets. Maybe if the upgrades came every 2-3 waves it would be more engaging but as it was they seemed limited. There is so much more potentail for a progression tree here that I feel is currently wasted... Points every level or 2 and many more perks to choose from and branch off of would make it a lot less bland.
I really want to like it and I think it has a ton of potentail, but things like a 10 wave mode, more progression, permanent progression of some sort beteween levels, tuning of tower and upgrade costs, rewards for completing levels besides just unlocking the next map, more maps... could help a lot.
I also note that the game seems to be lacking music and only has sound effects. No biggie really but I noticed it was odd that it was silent and I had to go into the options just to turn the sound effects on. I actually appreciate the developer trying to save me the hassle of muting bad music so I can play my own but I had never seen this done before so it threw me a bit as I thought my speakers must be muted or something.
Right now I'm not sure if playing through another long map is worth the cost of admission. I don't get anything for it really that I can tell besides a new map to play on and apparently there are only like 12 maps, so, thats like a dollar for every path puzzle to beat and then the local multiplayer that will take too long to really play with any local friends.
Basically it feels like it's got something charming about it and I do like it, but, it's just not grabbing me and feels like it needs a little more substance to get out of the tablet clone realm and into the full on steam PC TD realm where I want it to be. it's not bad but it's not great either... I'm in between recommending or not. I think I have to say no at it's current price point for what it is. but with a little love this could really be a fun gem.
