There is a potential in this game, but i would wait for more content. The first impression i got from the video under the game, was it's something similar to Wizardry. Well in a way it is. You have a team of heroes and you fight enemies in real time swithichng between them, but it's not in a free open world, only in a very small cave, that takes a couple of minutes to get from one side to another. I wouldn't mind that, but the worst thing i really really hate, is the enemies are constantly spawning from a couple of spawner places, which you must find and destroy to stop the spawning and that's all there is. If you like this, then by all means get the game. I am letting this negative review here for all the players that like the classic Wizardry, and think this can be something like that, as a warning to not get sentimental, because this game is not. It looks like the game has received a couple of updates over the past few weeks, even after the Devs indicated that they were putting this game on the backburner. The problem, as it always has been, is that the devs have some of the worst communication I've ever experienced with any developing game. It's in EA, so take the opportunity to tell us what you've update...what you're working on...what's to come. That's part of what we love about EA titles is engagement with the dev team and experiencing a project's evolution first hand. For god's sake, dev team, hire a community manager or something and just tell us what is going on...even if it's nothing!

May very well turn into a really good game. The fight mechanics work fine, but at the moment you are only able to count on lvls gained and potions found during your run, while other perks are not implemented yet. What is there now is fun, but until the game has more in it, advancing will be very hard to do. I feel its worth the price as is, because its playable as an arcade run, and may be something very good if developed well.

Battlecursed is first person advenure game. It shows the potential for a greatly made game, but only when bugs are flattened out. I find it interesting that you control 4 people. It adds stratagies in ways you never think of. For example if someone on your group is at low health, you can switch them for a person with higher health so they take the brunt of the damage. But that being said you can also screw yourself over if you get surrounded since enemies that attack from the back or sides hit differnt characters, even if you dont have them selected. The cool downs on the abbilites couppled with the high health enemies makes you have to kite, a lot. You feel a sence of "Oh I have to run now so I can only use my archer since she is ranged". Also the rats do have way to much health. It got the point where I could one shot a veteran skeleton with a fully charged sniper shot, yet no even take 3/4's health off a rat. If I could make a few changes to the game I would lower the cooldowns of some heros, and make some enemies likes rats have less health. But I do see this game as the next great dungeon strategy game like Darkest dungen, with a nice first person twist to it. I will hope to make a full fair review of the game when it is fully released.

I have seen this game on the upcoming games list for years. I could hardly believe that it had finally been released, and hit buy immediately. Unfortunately, Battlecursed seems truly cursed to remain an unfinished game. What this release contains is only a set of arena-like survival rounds. There are buttons on the menu that promise upcoming features like character creation and other rpg features. But what is here now is minimal when compared to other dungeon crawlers. I hope the developer is able to complete their vision for the game. But I can't recommend purchasing yet if you expect a full experience.
