This is close to a masterpiece.
The minimal tutorial isn't very clear; you can run up a wall at any tile by simply trying to move up while on a wall.
The first boss fight is ambiguous. When he teleports, I don't know if that counts as a hit or not. Most of the time he teleports, but of you wait for his charge attack and hit him after he dodges towards you, you can hurt him (a red sprite shows up).
The difference between what is solid and what isn't is not always clear. We can climb up pipes and they can be mistaken for background decoration at first. There are store signs, all of them can be climbed, but they're as bright as the background environment which is not solid.
Checkpoints: they only happen after a boss fight. It took me almost 1 hour to beat the first stage and the boss, that means if you quit the game before then, you must start from the beginning of that chapter. I beat Stage 1 and apparently only 5% of players have done so. I believe it confirms the checkpoint issue.
....
To the dev: I hope you take it constructively, your game is amazing. My first thought after launching the game was "this is how platformers should be made".
