why can't i save it or pause it? those are the BIG problems with the game the first few levels are okay like levels 1-6 they are fine but after that it starts getting boring.

Engaging puzzle game! It's hard, hard in an unforgivable way, but keeps dragging you back to squeeze out an edge against your opponents from your last resources. + Engaging, fair but hard game play + Humorous and witty plot + No real-time action, simply turn-based (quite a relief when you need to keep an eye on your kids every now and then) + Hot-seat multiplayer + Catchy tune - The 90's want their GUI and 3D graphics back (is it programmer's graphics?)

There is a mission where you need to destroy a bunker. But if you bring it to 1 hp it will just stay at 1 hp and cannot be destroyed. I assume developers intended alternative win condition, but you don’t get a new objective. The objective still says destroy bunker, which is impossible. I bought a strategy game, not a fucking guessing game. Not telling the player what to do is horrible game design.

Tried to get an internship, came back with a flyer of this game. 10/10 would apply again. P.s. Fun and challenging game, even against A.I.

I picked up the game because of the AI development aspect. I haven't gotten to that point yet, just playing through the campaign to better understand the game. I recommend checking out a let's play to see if the game is your style. This game lets you take delightful tower defense mechanics and use them offensively. I'm part of the way through the campaign and have greatly enjoyed the dialog so far. The missions are well balanced to either require good understanding of a new mechanic or are checkpoint for macro game understanding. Expect to lose a bit on normal, you'll develop a style and better build orders as you experiment and have your mistakes punished. I hope to try out the AI dev tools soon, I'll try to update this review with info about that when I give it a try.

Was quite fun until one mission where the developers decided it's a good thing to get back on the player and hide the only chance of winning behind an elaborate decision how to play this game, without giving as much as a hint at what they are doing. If you don't play the style the developers *want* you to play (spoiler:
Play a mission multiple times without going back to the main menu, in a game which doesn't have a save game mechanic and crashes every now and then.
), you have no chance of advancing in the campaign. You have no chance of even *recognizing* why you don't have a chance of advancing in the campaign. Deliberately done worst game design decision possible. Strictly avoid.

Excellent game. Simple without being uninteresting, genuinely laugh-out-loud funny, without trying too hard. It took me hours to get through the campaign on Normal difficulty, but I think the difficulty is just right. Only on one level did I feel that I actually needed to be really lucky to make it through. For $10, this game is a steal.

Not your typical dime in a dozen, everyday laidback puzzle game. - Easy to learn, hard to conquer. - Simple controls. - Humble but fun graphics. - Challenging AI and addictive gameplay: Don’t be surprised to fail the first time, or the second, or the third…. You need a wheeh bit of patience, but winning the battle makes it all the more satisfying without the challenge becoming frustrating. - Humorous and entertaining dialogues: One of the very few games where I take the time to really read the game lore. - Good price-fun-factor. Definitely worth the time.

TLDR: This game has been worth it for me, and I would recommend you and a friend to get it. The campaign for this game is very fun and has several twists. The only way to win is to try and try again until you have found the perfect build order. There is a lot of humour and the devs obviously put some time into the storyline. The campaign really helps you learn the game so that a tedious tutorial is not needed (it is within the campaign and is not tedious). The multiplayer has potential. Currently, there are only 1 v 1 battles, but the devs have stated that more options are being worked on. 1 v 1 battles are fun; my friend and I have probably played 10 matches since we bought the game. We have both observed that if we could have a lot more fun, however, once there can be 4 player free for alls and 2 v 2 matches. Overall, this game is great, and has potential to be even greater. Currently, if you want to play multiplayer, you need a friend with the game, but the community is growing, so that may not last very long. EDIT: They also added trading cards, soooooo

Powargrid is a great board game like abstract game. The relatively simple rules create interesting and complex situations. Things that are great: 1) Very simple rules that are explained thoroughly in the campaign 2) Interesting campaign missions that clearly had a lot of thought put into them 3) Very amusing sense of humor in the mission dialogue 4) The concept for the game is fantastic – easy to learn hard to master is /very/ overused but this game seems to be a good example There are only a few things that are a little frustrating. 1) is there a way to skip the (admittedly very funny the first time) dialogue in the missions? 2) is there a way to scroll around the screen? I usually play games like this while Netflix is on the other half of the screen but doing so without a way to scroll to the part of the map is not workable. 3) keyboard shortcuts: they don't appear to be re-bindable, for people starting the game the towers are 1,2,4,5 (I assume tower 3 is just introduced past the part I am?), having the end turn key be hitting tab twice without a way to change it is odd at best and annoying at worst.
