Sea Dogs: To Each His Own - Happily Ever After DLC

This DLC continues the popular nowadays tradition of rewarding the player for the long time of dedication with some good old quality fluff and romance. Of course, narrative-wise it rewards the protagonist, but in actuality it's fan service first and foremost. Remember the universally praised Citadel DLC from ME3? Yeah, this one's kinda like that, except here it makes sense -- you're marrying a woman you're madly in love with, not decorating your apartment while the world around you is burning. Anyway, the DLC consists of two big quests. Yes, there's only two. For comparison, the Jolly Roger DLC had ten quests. But these two are much meatier, so they will keep you occupied for about five hours of gameplay. The first quest fits rather nicely within the last third of the game. It heavily involves the protagonist's love interest but is not entirely focused on her. The second quest is about the marriage itself and it can only be played at the very end of the game. I'm not certain but I believe that you need to have completed the main story line in order to get it. And it's appropriate because this quest really does feel like a nice epilogue to our hero's adventures. It's sweet when it needs to be and it's hardcore when it needs to be. Of course, the downside of all of this nice fan service is that it may exclude the newcomers. If you are new to this game and still undecided on whether you want to buy Happily Ever After, I'd suggest you wait until you are sure that you like the game enough to want to stick with it to the very end. And if you are new, know that this is an incredibly long game. The DLC does not require a new game, so you can buy it at any time.
