It`s very boring and annoying. Its like this, complete one task and you have to wait two or four weeks to get another taks and again, wait another weeks for another task and again, again...

I enjoyed this dlc, a good story thread, good rewards for the time invested, A really challenging dungeon and tough fights at the end, with only the very last part of the dungeon what I would call frustrating, yet that's a tiny little corridor with water traps all over it, very very small part of the dlc.
Also events you go through in this dlc will be spoken about by other npc's after the fact, some folks who are from other quests will KNOW who you are well in advance of you meeting them, you get your own pirate name and other little additions that make it feel not so much a dlc as an important part of Charlies development.
Again price to content ratio is awesome, well worth the price.

In many ways this DLC is somewhat of a giant "#$#@ you" by the developers. If you are not prepared for these missions, you will most likely fail them. The battles can be extremely difficult at lower experience levels. You MUST understand the game mechanics very well.
The ending is "unique" to say the least.
The rewards are not.
However, the tie into the main plot and stories is very good.
If you are a hardcore player and want to see what BlackMark Studios was up to here, it still is not a bad purchase for $5. Just prepare yourself beforehand for a long and convoluted journey to HELL!

What's good:
*A story that makes players weep.Second best story in this series.(I think the best is Justice Island in AOP2)
*Various new NPCs,each of which has unique character. You'll never forget them.
*You'll remember how the final quest feels like for a lifetime.
*Good music, though not created by BMS themselves.
*New ship.Unique advantage makes it useful enough.
*New coldarm. As useful as Mary's sword,Narwal. The best point is,it doesn't make other weapons useless.
*New scenes are remarkable.Pity that most of them can only be visited during the quest.
*Long enough.
*Not as difficult as FL dlc.
*All other features that are nessary to make a good TEHO quest.
What's bad:
*Naval battles are too difficult.Players have to prepare for 2-3 years - in game,of crouse - for it.It's not suitble for players who just finnished Dutch Gambit.May I remind the devs:difficulty cannot replace gameplay.
*Time limits are boring,not difficult.
*No one would tell you the nessary items you need to prepare. If you didnt't prepare them,MISSION FAILED.
*Secret base is useless.I can keep my items in my ship or drughouse in St.john, keep my ships in impregnable ports, repair ships by "full repair" or dockyards, store my goods in PortRoyal, restore my health with Mary.I need to run through 3 scenes on feet to do these things in my own base.Seems that Charles promised to upgrate it.Right? We're waiting.
*Trailer in FJR shop page shows a line ship for a dozen times, but the new ship is not it.This is kind of bait.

Aweful DLC. Missions are constructed terribly and some are impossible to finish without modding the game to suit your playability.
These developers must be the dumbest on earth...

Under $hitflag or DLC with aftertaste of the $hit!
Main concept of this part of the Sharles life is:
How bad to be a corsair
But that conclusion was made only by storyline owners, exist a lot of ways to be a Sea Dog and not all of them so bad as that DLC tells to us.
My own opinion that DLC doesn't go way I want not so important as breaking main principle of the game: To Each His OWN and what we have: To Each The Same in complex with some technical issues and unjustified difficulty paints Jolly Roger to the color of $hit!

A stunningly good DLC. It gives pretty good monetary rewards once you get into the meat of it, though making money in this game isn't terribly hard anyway. You get a nice unique class-3 ship but it isn't really much to write home about. You also get a secret island base but as far as I know there isn't really anything to do on it, other than free mooring for two ships and free cargo storage. Unfortunately, many of the quests have very tight time restrictions and also require items that if you didn't have already you will likely fail, definitely recommend reading a walkthrough to prepare everything you need before even starting the first mission. If you're just in it for the money you could probably just do a few of the quests and stop before you reach the last few. Doesn't sound very good right? So why do I recommend it?
Because what really floored me about this questline was the final quest, Nemesis. It is insanely hard and gives you practically no reward but the story you experience through it and the culmination of all your actions throughout the questline is phenomenal. Was not expecting it and I was knocked flat on my ass when it finally hit. I can't go into details without spoiling it but it is absolutely worth the trouble it takes to complete it.

'Let me tell you the story of when I went to hell and back'
If you thought that the game has been difficult up to now, then you are in for a rude awakening.
After you complete the first mission you start playing this 'catching up' game with tight deadlines between quests to prevent you from failing the DLC. Once you start the ride, you need to almost finish it before you can catch your breath before moving on. This is of course a realistic consequence for taking too long before seeing your employer, but for me it is borderline brutal towards players already having a hard time - especially when you struggled with the last quest and need time repairing/hiring new crew.
The quests included in the DLC requires a lot of items as well, but a big issue for me is that it does not tell you what until you stand there looking like an idiot without it. This forced me to start over from the first mission which annoyed me quite a bit. Therefore, you should get a list of what you need before starting it. This list can be found on the steam forums. To my knowledge, there is not a lot of item-requiring quests in the main game, so for me it was a fresh change of quest design. They should, however, let the player know in advance what the quests requires AND remove the tight deadlines on quests so that they can prepare. Both heavy item requiring quests and the tight deadlines did not mix well for me. They also require the 'raise Spanish flag' ability in one of the quests without telling you. I knew beforehand at least but a lot of players have been complaining about it and I find their anger justified. Hopefully in the future they will be more forthcoming with the requirements.
I would also like to point out that the 'Your very own base' aspect sounds great, but the real deal was just a lackluster. A hidden island with a few pirates strolling about an ordinary pirate nest where you can fix your ship, store your goods and have a free-of-charge 'escort'. It's fine but I were honestly expecting a bit more expansion and investment opportunities.
The content in the DLC quests was extrodinary and I got really immersed into the life of a feared pirate plundering ships and cities with my partners in crime. I can't really say any more without spoiling, so you just have to take my word for it and find out yourself :)
Lastly, the new unique ship is sweet - a heavy polacre well suited for a pirate with a lust for merchant ships and able to defeat their military escorts easily.
To quickly sum up:
+ Good content of quests
+ Immersive dive into the life of a pirate
+ Cool new unique ship
+ Good price for the amount of content you get
- Huge lackluster base aspect
- Tight deadlines
- Item/ability requiring quests without any clue to whats needed beforehand
The DLC is not all positive so I'm leaving my review with a positive feedback that tilts slightly towards mixed. The overall experience was still great, and I was left with the feeling of having been on a big adventure.

REVIEW IN ENGLISH
As expected, all the reviews are so far in Russian. I'm writing this one in English specifially for the future English-speaking fellow-players, when the devs finally finish translating this DLC.
In short, I'm recommending it. In my opinion, it's worth its $5 price. As the description says, there are 10 quests, and they are all multy-stage. The quests themselves are memorable, even though, they are set in copy/pasted locations. But copy/paste is what we've come to expect from this game. If you can't make peace with it from the get go, you shouldn't even bother with the game to begin with. And it's not really about locations, anyway, it's about the characters and action. This is where, I think, the DLC succeeds, it gives us decent memoralbe characters and lots of action. The situations those characters find themselves in is what makes the DLC.
Be forewarned though, it has multiple issues:
(1) As I already said, reused locations. I really don't get what stopped the devs from creating unique locations. I mean, I can guess what stopped them, but I don't want to.
(2) Hoarding. Warning: this this DLC demands that you hoard a lot of sh**. You have a buttomless chest in your cabin, so make it a habbit to store in it everything you find in your adventures before you get to the DLC. Especially, make sure to hoard weapons of all kinds.
(3) To feel comfortable in this DLC, you need to be around level 25 or higher and have a 3 class ship with a lot of free space in it. In some situations, you'll have to abandon some valuable cargo in favor of other valuable cargo because your ship just wont have enough room.
(4) There are a lot of strict deadlines, so don't think you'll be able to frolic.
(5) There is a personal base, which so far is completely useless. I believe I read a dev claim that the base will be updated in the future patches. Should have done it before releasing the DLC, if you ask me.
(6) The final 10th quest is brutal. The devs went way beyond hardcor in that one. And it doesn't make much sense narrative-wise.
(7) Finally, there is a serious issue with the DLC's integration into the main narrative. Namely, there is none. None of the characters you meet after the complition of the DLC will recognize you, which breaks the immersion. This needs patching immediately.
All in all, i'd give this DLC 6.5 out of 10.
EDIT. 29/5/2017. So now the DLC is finally available in English, and the devs patched the issue #7. That means that the story of this DLC is fully and organically integrated into the main story. Characters of the DLC will be able to recognize you and your shenanigans. As such, I'm bumping the final score up a 0.5 point, bringing it to 7 out of 10.
