Force the player to accept the task, no time to rapier or prepare. Difficultness is ridiculous for novices and the Prison Break has a loss of income.

Stupidest DLC I have seen for quite a while. Poor content and level cap (go f*ck yourself, if you are past lvl 14 - then your dlc is useless). It is rushed and very plain + lvl cap in dlc???... Never would recommend it.

Time AND level constrained? Lel. Cannot even "complete" DLC because while doing it I've reached lvl 13, so last of the available questions is not available anymore. Idiots who came up with this "game design" deserve to be called idiots.

Ehhhh... It's okay. It's nice to experience all of it once but after that, on new playthroughs I do one, two, maybe three of the quests and ignore the rest. The rewards range from not bad to practically nothing and requires extremely precise play to not exceed the absurdly low level requirements. You will essentially be doing only this questline for the entire first part of the game to not go over that cap, and doing this questline will almost surely lock you out of doing either of the side-routes in Dutch Gambit since those also have a low level requirement.
The "Final Lesson" is basically to suck it, you choose between a piss-poor reward or a ludicrously hard battle that I used to think was unwinnable until I finally beat it after who knows how many tries. The full reward for winning the final lesson isn't even very good either, though its all right considering its the early game. Not worth it in my opinion, which speaks for both the final battle and the DLC as a whole.

This DLC is frustrating in the worst way possible.
- Forced into starting missions you're not prepared for simply because you moar your ship for repairs and fresh crew.
- To avoid starting time sensitive missions you're forced to avoid the most common ports you go to till you're prepared.
- You are not allowed the option of starting said missions on your own time and will never get the option to start them again if you turn them down.
- Missions themselves are not enjoyable in the least, they make arbitrary demands of you for the sole purpose of pissing you off. Case and point* you will be given a mission with a the bare min amount of days to get to your destination to complete said mission. You will find that the wind is against you and every pirate decides to single you out from every other faction at war with the pirates while you make your way. Finally a storm will be summoned overtop of you just to twist the knife in your back a little more.
Final note; At level 6 the DLC mission Grandee Albalate will not start for me. the bar maid says nothing and does nothing, so it looks like i miss out on that mission and the bonus mission for completing all the other missions, I've lost out on a 3rd of the content I paid for with no chance of retrieval short of starting over, thumbs up for incompetent devs.
This DLC was designed to add more varity to the mission system in the early game but frankly you should be paid to play this crap, not the other way around.

Terrible quest design, I bet the devs never ever test the quest before the release, the last quest is insanely difficult, it is nearly impossible to pass that quest before lv14!
Also some stupid design like the quest about helping a noble get his plantation back, The noble can bring me to the tavern safely (because his a noble), but after finishing our business, I need to sneak out of the town? That doesnt make any sense at all!
Same as all russian games, they all lack respect to the details.
This stupid dlc at the beginning of the game makes the whole game sucks

Six new adventures that if you're playing without a guide will lock you out of it before you've even realised that it's started.
Level restricted dlc content, you're forced to do these early on for little to no reward, during a time where you are supposed to be making money, which is much easier to do without running around the Caribbean for this dlc, doing these quests will either lock you out of others, possibly even some main quest paths, not doing these quests will lock you out of the end of the dlc.
The quests are varied, all though a couple go to the same city, which most quests do for some reason?
Probably my least favourite dlc, I don't want to have to go on google and look at a guide because the game has forced quests on me and then auto fails them because I have no option to say "I'm currently on a time sensitive main quest mission going the other direction, ask me when I get back".
It's an open world game, yet this paid dlc forces you into even more linear story progression than is there already. As I say the quests themselves are varied enough, They are immersive, yet the way they've been put into the game leaves me scratching my head.
Frustration is not challenge.
That said, for the price and amount of content you get with the dlc then, If you're prepared for them being forced on you and figure out that you need to keep an eye on your rank and not level up too much (open world?!) then you get more than you pay for.
Just a shame about the frustrating way they've put it in.

Overall, I found this DLC highly enjoyable, although I am a seasoned "old school" Akella Sea Dogs veteran. However, the design of the quests and the many limitations based on areas such as level cap and cryptic design where not as well though out.
The largest problems is if you do not know that that a NPC is giving a "one time offer" the DLC basically screws you out of the opportunity. You cannot complete the "Final Lesson" if you have not completed ALL FIVE other missons. If you have already overleveled (>12), the DLC is defunct. Additionally, MANY of the quests are extremely time limited, so you will not have time to diddle yourself doing other things. Bascially, you NEED to start a new game, and when you hit level 4 on your playable character and have already visited 5 different ports, you need to get ready for the quests to begin IMMEDIATELY. You can circumvent some of these aspects but you have to sidestep the time trigger hour "land mines", because once again you have to take the misson. Failure of missons can be very unforgiving to new players such as entire nations being hostile with no hope of recovery. My one tip is save often with mutliple saves, and early as you WILL make mistakes. The one quest that was definately challenging was "Price of Discretion" which has many steps in the chain. Break the chain, fail the quest...
Final Note: All Akella pirate games are hardcore, this game is NOT meant for new players. All the other DLCs reflect the same aspects. Buckle yourself into your seat, or move on. There is no hand holding on this game.
