I'm chaging my review to positive in light of the developer's effort into making the game basically playable with the mouse, having resolved the fact that the mouse pitch axis was interfering with the VR pitch axis. This is by all means a small budget-game shooter, with the added value of running in VR. All in all it's an ok experience.
Pros
1) Has potential to be a simple straight up shooter.
2) Cool hover mechanic
3) Simple way to introduce yourself to first person VR
Cons
1) Shields and screens and effects 3 inches from your face that result you in not seeing the gameplay at all
2) Out of ammo simulator; the game should most definitely give incentive on finding guns not by running out of ammo but rather by having more strength desparity in some rarer weapons.
3) Incredibly basic AI; they come for you. Sometimes too quickly and they bunch up. Lots of behind-the-player sneaking.
4) Some frame dips on higher quality levels
This game is said to be developed specifically for VR. I had doubts on this when facing the pitch axis issue which is an obvious no-no for VR, and still question the nature of the shield effects, but all in all I was able to give it a few rounds through the first waves which yielded some enjoyable moments.

Garbage with horrible movement feel and dull enemies that mindlessly approach in a straight line. Some of the enemies look like old electric razors that fly or robot vacuum cleaners etc.
Graphics style is kinda interesting but not enough to make me want to keep playing this.

If you're thinking of playing this because you have a Vive, just don't. Only mouse and keyboard support, poor interface, no headphones support and some of the quickest motion sickness I've experienced to date. Just, don't.
Edit: Turns out you have to play it for more than 5 minutes and I only have 3. That's how quick it gets to you.

This game has some really nice stuff going on. Nice aesthetic, responsive controls, FUN flying. What has impressed me most is how responsive and quick the dev is to fix bugs. At its price, you can't go wrong with this game. If you have an issue, tell the dev and it will likely be fixed within the next 2 days!

Keyboard and mouse control with the Vive is terrible. I couldn't find any way to find the controls. F1 to reset your VR position, I think 1 and 2 are your class abilities. Neat tech demo, and I guess 3$ isn't too much (even less as part of the indie bundle), but chunky, undescribed controls and weird collision detection and no hit notification... not my cup of tea. - vive + m/kb

This game gets dull in about 10 minutes. Being able to fly is a lot of fun but the game very quickly just becomes about backpeddling endlessly while shooting a variety of weapons that all feel underwhelming. Added to this is the fact that enemies can spawn anywhere you're not looking, meaning most of your enemies are always behind you. The music matches the theme, but it's too grating to take for very long. It suffers like most vr games from being a single idea quickly thrown together to cash in on the novelty.

At this time this game is not user friendly for the HTC Vive Experience. They say it is in “BETA” for Vive and should be fixed shortly. The height control is off to the point it is impossible to aim below you because your head is in the ceiling. I have tried out about 40 games for the vive and this was probably tied for first on the nausea factor due to: simultaneous head movement and mouse movement, as well as the 45-degree jerk left/right with q/e (especially when trying to turn around on an enemy. The alarms in-between waves are also a bit loud and I could understand a lot of people being deterred by the pitch and volume of the alarm warning.
On the bright side before I had to exit the game in the second wave due to nausea the game did seem to have some redeeming qualities with the jetpack and ammo replenishing that requires you to keep moving around finding enemies. I wish I could have gotten to try out some of the harder waves and the other two classes, but it was too much for me. Headset aiming was very responsive and accurate I think I would like this shooting style if I hadn't gotten nauseous. This is the first Vive game I have had to refund.

This game is really fun, and for the price it's even better! It's not some 600 hour adventure game, but this is the best I've seen non-vehicle based shooting action handled in VR.
-Shooting feels great aiming with your eyes in combination with the controller--in the same way that streamlined motion controls can feel great on many console shooters, HMD+Stick feels great here.
-Having 3 classes to pick from with two unique skills is fun because it makes the same content play so differently (it just makes me want more!)
-The music is pretty good, though the rest of sound design is mostly generic feeling--not bad at all, but about what you'd expect.
I'd love to see more modes/classes/skills added, and hope that this studio makes more action-focused stuff like this!

This game is proof that if you have a bad game, adding VR will not make it a good game. This is a wave based shooter where you can control a ship and either move on the ground or fly in the air. There is no tutorial so you'll have to figure things out on your own. You basically have 5 waves to survive in an area with 15 enemies in each wave that get progressively harder. If you get to the end, you unlock a new area where you'll do the same thing. There's 3 total areas.
There's ammo and health pickups to scrounge around for. You can fight or run away from battle. There's a boss at the end of the 5th wave, although I did not get there. The reason was because I just wanted to die on the 3d wave as I was bored to tears. I just didn't see the point.
Graphics are just okay passable. Sounds are annoying, especially the alarm. I never figured out how to use the shield. I'm glad I only paid $.49 cents. I'm going to uninstall and spend my time on better things.
Rate 4/10. You might enjoy it more than I did. It's not the worse game in VR. I think mixed reviews is appropriate for this game, I just can't recommend this when i didn't have any fun at all.

I would not recommend this game. But that's because I get really fast motion sick while playing this game just for minutes.
The game itself is fast pacing and looks nice. People which aren't much affected by motion sickness will this game.
A Teleport function would be great for VR.
