I am a huge fan of rpg maker/rpg maker style games. I had a fun time trying to piece this story together and taking notes to solves puzzles. Short game, worth the price. Also, love the music!! Definitely recommend if you are looking for a short interesting game. Can't wait to try their other game :)

This one has some puzzles (though very easy to solve) and finishes off the story. The story started of mysterious and enough to captivate with chapter 1 but in the end it was rather cliché with a bit of an anticlimax ending. But still enjoyed the game since it's a welcome difference with the JRPG's that are mostly made with this engine.

This game brings to an end the series of games that is Silver Creek falls. Like the other games it DOESN'T give the player instruction on how to move until after you have already figured it out by playing around with the controls that would normally regulate character movement. Also like the other games in the series, the screen is STILL tiny and no instruction is given in the game to figure out how to increase it to full screen size. The puzzles range from the strange forward to ones that boggle the mind, ESPECIALLY the Cryptic Cipher. And when you do finally get to the end of this series of games the ending is, well, in my opinion, kind of weak. Lastly I would like to see the whole series put together as one combined game with all the chapters playable where the user can play one chapter straight after finishing the last one, having them all separate makes it feel, disjointed.

I watched the Let’s Plays of Chapter 1 and 2 of this series on YouTube and it looked like so much fun that I decided to buy Chapter 3 myself so that I could have the pleasure of finishing the story at my own pace. As you know, adventure games are all about story, and you won't be disappointed with this installment in the series. It has that same pulp mystery movie feel to it that Chapter 1 and 2 has! I have to say that I was surprised with the ending! Even though a lot of it gets explained very quickly at the grand finale I was pretty satisfied overall, that is until they had the cliffhanger after the credits! The overall feel and gameplay was very similar to Chapters 1 and 2, so if you liked those then this title will definitely not disappoint. Now it is longer than Chapter 1 but is shorter than Chapter 2. I’d say it has more “content” in terms of following the main story arc, but has far less open world and has no big maps like Chapter 2 had. It’s a lot more linear but still has a few tricky puzzles and collection quests just like the previous two titles. Because of the intrigue behind the new cliffhanger I went ahead and listened to the director’s commentary (comes free with the game and is under your music page on steam). It was interesting, spontaneous and often hilarious, I definitely recommend it to anyone who has become a huge fan of “Silver Creek Falls” (like I have) and wants to know a bit more behind it’s creation! Anyway, as I was saying, I gave it a listen and the director did say that they were thinking of doing a spinoff with Mark/Phil as the protagonist and that more of the mystery would be solved there. So I’m looking forward to that and for any of you that have more questions I really recommend you give it a listen.

Well well. I finished the Silver Creek Falls trilogy and I assume you must play the next instalment to truly understand what's going on. Honestly speaking this wasn’t my cup of tea so I won't. The puzzles were easy, I did however enjoy unlocking the achievements, but for me that was it. The music was okay, the gameplay itself linear. Though this was to be expected, I just wanted to mention it. The plot is confusing, and you are left with a feeling of dissatisfaction. Besides, I personally disliked the character of Det. Fitzgerald. She annoyed me to no end. And the -let’s say- “dream” was just too random and inconsistent with what happened before (and after) in my opinion. Though, like I mentioned above, you’re probably kinda supposed to play the next games involving her to truly understand what happened. Maybe it’ll all make perfect sense once you’re through all of them. ' small summary: + save in the menu, don't have to search for a savety point + you don't have to select the items to use them, just have them in your inv + straightforward gameplay - inconsistent story - (personal) disliked main character - unchallenging puzzles I personally am not curious enough to be spending more money on this series.

This was just not good. It felt extremely rushed, in both story and design. Poor grammar litters the dialogue, to such a degree that it becomes comical. The contents of the dialogue itself was nothing but exposition and redundancy. The puzzles were simple, and only took more than 5 seconds because they placed the solutions at the end of ludicrously long hallways. The story ends with a disappointing conclusion, leaving you only with vague sequel-bait. Tack on the fact that the game is half the length of the previous one, and this just is not a satisfying gaming experience to me. If you've played the previous two games, which I assume you have if you're reading this, then yeah, I guess get it, solely to conclude the story. But make sure to get it on sale. If you haven't played the second chapter yet, and are just looking ahead to judge the overall quality of the series, then I'd say save your time and money, and invest it elsewhere.

Silver Creek Falls: Chapter 3 is a retro, 8-bit pixel game where you assume the role of Sara, a former Massachusetts state trooper turned detective. Chapter 3 picks up where chapter 2 left off. I enjoyed this game. An intriguing mystery is unfolding as you play and the 8-bit graphics gives it a quaint 80's feel. The mystery deepens as you travel from place to place, following the clues left behind. However, there are two things I didn't care for. First and foremost, the controls are horrible. To control your character you have to use the arrow buttons not WASD like most developers do. That is a major sticking point with me. Also, to interact with something, you use the enter button (which is right above the arrow keys), so now I have to position my hands unnaturally which makes them tired in a hurry. I had said in my previous review of chapter 1 and 2, I hoping that the developers would fix these terrible controls but that's out the window. So I broke down and got this game on sale because I had to find out what happened. Another thing I didn't like was the writing. When you speak to someone their response appears at the bottom and well as yours. That's all fine and dandy but some of the exchanges of dialogue makes me wonder if the person who wrote this was in grade school. Yes, some of it is that bad. Silver Creek Falls: Chapter 3 was selling for $4.99. That's a bit high for the time spent playing this game. Good thing I got it on sale and I suggest you do to.

Aw man, not gonna lie... played all three games straight and I gotta say it's been an awesome and super emotional journey. I started by playing Chapter 1 thinking it would be a nice way to burn an hour in between going to lunch with friends then going to the gym. I ended up skipping the gym to buy and play chapters 2 and 3 because I was so hooked. There is a power to story heavy adventure games done in 2D that just doesn't always happen in 3D and this trilogy definitely has it. The graphics have a unique charm and the music is awesome. That ending really got to me. One little thing though, I do recommend that future players play all 3 in sequence as there are so many details and pieces to the mystery and you'd only understand the final bit if you you paid attention and remembered all the details.

This third and concluding chapter of the Silver Creek Falls series continue from the previous chapter where detective Sara Fitzgerald and Agent Valdez take refuge with their mysterious lifesaver Colonel Davis. While Sara is in her sleep, she experiences a dream where she could hear the deceased at Silver Creek Falls crying out to her. With the departure of Agent Valdez the following day, Sara and Colonel Davis attempt to locate another informant and find evidence on Bolt Pharmaceuticals's involvement in the research facility as a mystery adventure with thriller, plot twists and supernatural references. This chapter is shorter than the previous chapter and no longer has the humour and comedic references in the previous chapter. Without the comedic references which made chapter 2 entertaining and more enjoyable than chapters 1 and 3 combined, the short delving into the supernatural in this chapter to replace it although interesting and could potentially be a good gap and mystery filler for this series and for Walsingham Files in future is too short and hardly explored anything to be noticeable at this stage.
Also, the part to override the security system at Bolt Pharmaceuticals is a bit large and repetitive.
Recommended only for fans of Sapphire Dragon Productions and its only other mystery visual novel The Agency Chapter 1 or the Silver Creek Falls series, for those who like a short and easy linear adventure game with easy achievements and when in good discount or bundle offer as it takes less than 10 hours to finish the game.
