Bought this short film because I love WWI history, and because it was as cheap as all hell.
Canis Belli is one of those films that make you think. Shocking scenes, shades of gray, atmospheric setting - its got it all (which is impressive to say its only 10 mins long).
The set and costumes are amazing, and overall it is a great depiction of the horrors of WWI.

A short movie. Short but very moving. Showing war from its true side in a unique perspective which isn´t really shown in most movies. I wish it would be longer, but you can´t ask for more for this underpriced masterpiece. Watch it if you´re into history.

Canis Belli is a gripping short film.
The ambience and setting create a realistic tone. The acting is well done and make for a believable experience.
The story focuses on the moments of despair and pyschologoical horror of WWI while also offering a brief glimpse of humanity that occasionaly took place on the battlefield.
Currently a steal while on sale.

Honestly, i am absolutely surprised. Canis Belli is a short movie set in World War 1. I'm surprised by how this movie wasn't afraid to show certain imagery. I don't wan't to make an entire review, since there isn't much to talk about, but i'll have to say it, this movie is absolutely amazing. It was enough to make me cry, after all. And it also shows how war truly is. I would say you should get this movie as quick as you can.

Canis Belli - Is a GREAT short film
Tl;dr 100% recommend buying this for the small price, it really hits you in the feels.
Don't read the spoiler as I will tell you what happens, read ar your own will :)
[spoiler] When the British 6th division are dug into there trenches, a mortar goes off and wounds a dog, the noise is pretty distressing. One of the soldiers decides to go out and try save it, he waves the white flag and wanders into no mans land. A German soldier does the same, they don't shoot each other as they are there to help the dog, they see between there differenses. They both realise the dog can't be saved so they shoot it. They then exchange names and the german soldier offers him a cigarette. The german soldier starts to head back to his own trench when the british soldier shoots him in the back. [/spoiler]
[spoiler] This film honestly get's it's point across. 2 soldiers fighting for there country. Killing people in duty, is what wars about, however shooting a soldier armed with only a pistol and when he's walking away, killing him would be considered murder. [/spoiler]
