this game was a lot of fun and good laughs. devs seem cool, supportive of their community, and looking to expand. definitely worth.

This title reminds me a tiny bit of the game Fat Princess, including how carrying the commanders back to base in a group is faster. I look forward to future updates. There is potential here. I will review this game properly once the game is more fleshed out. Edit: I didn't know it initially but the Fat Princess connection ran deeper than I thought, having Devs from that game. They are very friendly, inviting to play, and responsive to the small community that exists here. I really want this game to do well. It is a shame that it is buried under lackluster AAA titles and throngs of cookie cutter indie games and asset flips. Some of the criticisms starting to pop up are are understandable, to a point, from the average gamer's standpoint. There is a server rotation that allows users to have better ping at different points in the day based on play time in a given region. Server costs are obviously an issue and this is the way that they decided to to do things with the current community size. From a technical standpoint this is an Early Access title, and there are bugs, but even still it is highly playable, and gorgeous to look at. I saw one review pointing out that a dev was in-game cheating, yet they were ignorant in the fact that the Dev was using something accessible to all players. Ignorance in itself is NOT inherently bad as that is simply the absence of knowledge. But, people are making snap judgements without further investigating a situation and making conclusions with willful ignorance which IS entirely bad. The game is coming along. It's small, but that is also reflected in the price point. More people need to play this game, it is a gem in the rough and I would hate to see it go under. The bots are decent and my friends and I have been defeated by them one time or another, but you can start to learn their ways. As with most games, it is definitely a more challenging experience when played against other people and you will often see more people on during the weekends. When a full game gets going it is frantic and chaotic in all the good ways.

Was is the mood for someMars Attacks action and picked this up. It did not disappoint. If you want to fight aliens with mechs or take over soldiers brains as a squid then this game is for you. You probably will not play with other people but I didnt mind. My AI comrades kicked ass and the aliens put up a real fight. Definitely recommend, especially now seeing as its only a dollar, though Id say its worth full price.

All of the hours I spent in my life playing Fat Princess...is probably going to be nothing compared to my time on Squids from Space. It's a team based 8v8 action/strategy, humans vs. squids, with multiple weapons, powers, and vehicles to choose from. Different game modes and maps also change the strategy of your attack (or defense?) per round! Do you spend time collecting resources to upgrade your team's weapon arsenal, or do you concentrate on the immediate goals to get a head start against the opponents?

If you enjoyed Fat Princess, you'll enjoy this game and more. It's still in early access, so it's got some bugs here and there, but it's to be expected. The playerbase is still small, but I think once more features come in and the game starts taking off, this game will be one to keep an eye on. :)

While it was once a fun game, Its been dead since 2020. The Developer 'Funbits' is defunct from what i can tell, as this was their last game before shutting down their website.

Well, this is a nice game. A team-based top-down shooter with MOBA elements. The human and squid teams are distinct and have their own gameplay styles. Each match starts with both teams collecting stuff scattered across the entire map to get better weapons and abilities, but the main goal is CTF: capture 3 human commanders or squad brains. The game is really fun and has awesome graphics, specially the game effects. It also features destructible environment, which is really great. If two teams are even then the match might stretch for an hour long of endless massacre. However, SFS also has it's shortcomings connected with the early access status of the game, which are: 1) Lack of content (Maps, customizations, new phases etc) 2) Communication - there's no chat in this game at all right now! 3) Latency and Servers - I have only 1 server available. Also the game feels like it stutters (The input is delayed up to 1.5 seconds) and the ping is pretty high. 4) Balance - squids seem to have more power than the humans. Wait for improvements and content enlargement.

Since Feb. 2020 no updates, no new content ... nothing. This Game is not in Early Access, this game is dead!! Steam should stop selling it!

Good game, but sadly no more development. If it was full of players I would have still played it. AI is terrible. There is always one team either humans or squids that AI completelly forgets to pick up stuff to progress level. So you are basically alone agains an entire enemy team. This is even worse if you play squid team. Too bad.

Awesome. Fat Princess fans, this is it. This game is awesome, and is the closest thing you'll find to Fat Princess on PC. We need more players!!! It is way too cool. I like the variety of weapons, and the asymetry between the two teams (human vs squids).
