Like all my battlepass reviews, consider this a review of the season. Granted, I'm a freak who actually likes Blackwell Fields a lot, so maybe I'm not the most reliable reviewer.
I will say that the major downside of S3 is that the netcode seems to inexplicably be worse than ever. I never had what I would call major issues before, but the amount of "shot while clearly behind cover" moments I've experienced in the past month has rivaled all previous seasons and launch combined. This seems to hit Railway to Golmud harder than anywhere else - I'm not sure if it's the strain of running the largest map in the game or what, but it's the first time where I have to put it down to BS more than misplays on my own part.
Outside of that, though? The season is great. I rank S2 highly from the 1-2 punch of Contaminated (still bound to be a Battlefield class) and Hagental. But Golmud truly is DICE/BF Studios taking a step to just listen to what fans want. I never thought their philosophy of zero-downtime action was bad, but proving they can handle sandbox design as well is great, and gives me more confidence that the upcoming S4 massive naval experiences will be great as well.
Cairo Bazaar is an excellent refresh of BF3's impeccable map design, with near-perfect infantry combat. It's a great palate cleanser with the other infantry maps like Iberian and Manhattan - where those maps demand constant awareness of your peripherals to avoid being flanked, Bazaar has a more relaxed, orderly layout. The complaints from internet NPCs that BF6 had a problem with "3-lane" map design look stupider than ever now. Grand Bazaar was more strictly 3-laned than any BF6 launch map, and it was and is an absolute classic.
Obliteration is back now and... it's fine. I'm not sure if I'm really digging it compared to the other "chaotic" mode in Escalation. It seems disorganized and the maps that support it are limited, but it's nice to have. We'll see how long the mode stays populated.
I've never been down on BF6, it's been good from the start despite what the Debbie Downers say. But S3 is really when it feels like the game is fully expanding into what its potential can be. Fingers crossed S4 keeps the momentum going.

worst battlefield game ever; absolutely not worth buying in the slightest. It would be way better to use the money you would waste on this really bad first person shooter and would recommend a much higher quality game from a a better developer.

This is exactly the comeback we needed.
After a very disappointing Season 2, they finally remembered what makes this franchise great. Bringing back legendary maps like Golmud to Railway and Cairo Bazaar, perfectly adapted to the current engine, was a 10/10 move.
I don't even care about the new weapons; the real win here is the balance. Vehicles and infantry finally feel fair against each other, making the core gameplay loop actually fun again. Add to that the upcoming roadmap—promising a Server Browser, Platoons, and Wake Island—and it shows they are finally listening to the core community.
If you dropped the game last season because of the Battle Royale nonsense, it's time to come back. The classic Battlefield formula is shining again.
