I am going to keep it short. I think skitarii is really good, only that he's a really good suport that has a big propensity to get overwhelmed when fighting alone. And that is just good game design considering it is a team game because he still has access to extremely good melee and ranged damage, whilst still being able to comfortably revive any teammate from any distance. The arc grenades and the shield therefore feels like a huge noob-trap that takes away from what makes skitarii unique and why most people will struggle with him. A good saying for this is: "Misplaced service serves nobody —Zealot"
P.S Skitarii is really fun regardless for whatever you choose to do and it also seems to be align with the general sentiment if that is what you are here for.

Ok. The gameplay, and everything is fun. Let us talk about..... My one pretty huge negative. IF YOU SO CHOOSE TO DO THE CAMPAIGN (like I did) they are still gonna refer to you... as a reject. So... That's my one big negative. I know. If you don't do the campaign you'll never even know, but I feel like it was a pretty feckin huge thing for them to just... overlook. Would it truly have been so hard to just... redo the voicing or cut the lines where a Skitarii would be referred to as a prisoner, or a part of Rannick reject project? And if you're wondering why I have a huge negative but my review is positive, it's because steams review system is absolute anus mudpie poo poo.
For clarities sake, I have put in 120 minutes and made it to level eight, campaign level 5 at the time of this review.

This class is a breath of fresh air for Darktide and feels very well balanced while giving some new support for team compositions that the game really didn't have before. The servo skull that you start with helps with some of the most annoying parts of the game, being able to complete objectives for you without any talent point investment as well as revive/rescue downed teammates if you decide to spec into that. All of the new weapons feel interesting and fun without being too powerful though you still have plenty of options from the rest of the roster if you prefer them. The ability to tweak the voice modulator when making your character is a really cool feature that I think suits the class very well.
The only complaints I have, one of the penances is tedious to complete and the two blitzes that replace the skull aren't useful enough to be worth it in my opinion. But overall I have played this class a lot already and still really enjoy it.

Great class, very fun. I don't understand what all the griping is about. Feels like a bunch of people who don't play darktide showed up for the class.

A very enjoyable class! At the time of writing this review there are some glaring issues: specifically that the Advanced Combat Doctrines ability exacerbates problems from the already inconsistent ranged hit registration in the game, and that the Voltaic Emitter ability gets blocked by practically any small slope. Knowing Fatshark, these will be tweaked at some point.
This DLC also includes the first canonical depiction of what Skitarii look like underneath all that armor, so if you're one of those people who find the interplay between flesh and metal neat, rejoice! From the skitarii point of view, it's all beautiful.
I will say that one minor gripe from me is that the personalities are all rather zealous about the admech, while this is exactly what can be expected from the Skitarii (who are specifically selected for their zeal), I would've liked to see at least some exploration of how they would react to suddenly acquiring effectively implanted independence via the Alpha Primus upgrade. The voxcaster tuning is peak, though I'd also like to see it extended to some of our equippable cosmetics for other classes (the Voicebox Rebreather, in particular) if possible.
As far as balance is concerned, this feels like it's the most balanced DLC class they've added so far. Part of me is thinking that this is deliberate as people are more likely to enjoy potential future buffs rather than potential future nerfs (no matter how miniscule).
Also, while I do enjoy getting more classes to play with and how they explore all the different perspectives humanity has in 40k, I am getting a bit of new-class-fatigue and would rather that Fatshark spend future updates improving the arsenal (and cosmetics situation) of all the previous classes.

This class is a dream come true for Warhammer fans. A decently balanced class that doesn't feel overpowered and yet is so damn fun to play. 4 Skitarii parties are my new favorite way to play. FOR THE MACHINEEEEE GODDDDDD.

This Skitarius unit quite enjoyed the efficient liquidation of all hostile bioforms through the sanctified weapons granted to it by the Omnissiah. Not all combat engrams and talent subroutines achieved perfect targeting alignment, yet overall this unit has derived considerable satisfaction from its function as a Skitarius.
The flesh is weak. The machine endures.
Praise the Machine God.

Local 1,300 hr player here.
Mostly good class. Once the couple bugs are ironed out, we're left with a mostly balanced, if slightly undertuned, class. Ignore the people saying there's "one viable build and keystone" and similar things. All 3 keystones are strong and usable in multiple builds, crit builds can benefit from the damage boost talents against electrocuted enemies with the talent that electrocutes the first enemy hit on a crit, chordclaw is good even outside of redline capacitor builds, etc. Making a build needs some thought and testing to fine tune, you can't just throw something together like Arbites and be a powerhouse. I didn't like this class at first, but it really started to click once I hit level 30 and understood the talent tree a little more.
This is a weird class. It's hard (for the average player) like Scum, but doesnt give you nearly the sheer amount of power depending on player skill that Scum does, and its not easy like Arbites. But I don't think this class is necessarily BAD.
The weapons are ok. AT THE TIME OF RELEASE, Galvanic rifle is probably the best unique gun on the class except for MAYBE Arc Rifle because of it's ammo economy. Melees are also simply ok. Transonic blades when put in a melee focused crit build are devastating, otherwise a bit middling and I would rather have combat blade or arc maul. Haven't touched power sword but I've heard its good, the moveset takes a second to get used to though.
2 of the 3 abilities are good, Advanced Combat Protocols (autoaim) is bugged at the moment so it's not worth taking. Voltaic Emitter and Chordclaw are both very good, Voltaic requires you to build a little more around it than Chordclaw, but it's still good.
Keystones, like I said earlier, are all pretty good and interchangeable on MOST builds since they all give some way of getting capacitance. Power Overload's stacking permanent buffs (until death) are cool, easy to stack on auric+, and consistently strong.
Only other thing to note is that there is no mobility or movespeed talent on the entire class. Not one. So you won't be nearly as mobile as literally any other class. Not as tanky as an Arbites, not as much raw damage and mobility as Scum. It's middle of the road, and I think a lot of people are disappointed by that given the releases of Arbites and Scum, and just how excited people were to have a playable Skitarii. I still recommend it, and it will probably be buffed in the future, and the bugs will be ironed out and gone.

I really enjoyed mandatory basic training, after only 1000 hours in the game I wasn't really sure how to dodge or attack before
