Slow movement, awkward attacks on most weapons, lots of weird hitbox shenanigans, uninspired permanent progression where you basically just buy tiny stat boosts.
Other games overcame similar problems with deeper mechanics. For example.: Dragon's Crown takes an effectively identical gameplay concept. There are only a few weapons/classes unique playstyles and deeper combo options and progression feels more natural as it's facilitated through equipment upgrades. It still has that jank, but gameplay and progression offers enough depth to return.
In comparison, this game's gameplay doesn't feel good and progression is lazy.
I wonder how it got as popular.

My sons and I absolutely love it. It's our favorite coop game. I know LC2 is up but this is still our favorite and we wish the producers made more maps, creatures and items for it. You would make a family very happy:)

How can a four dollar game still feel like a ripoff?
I had to login with two-factor authentication THREE TIMES (with three separate e-mail codes) to Epic to play the game because it doesn't support Google authentication. What is this, a money laundering operation? The game is WAY too jank, unresponsive, and unpolished.
