Made a funky song in about an hour, it's hard to believe I made it myself since I haven't tried making music in almost a decade. Fairly straight forward and user friendly.

A really cool electronic music program. Upgrade is totally worth in my opinion. I upgraded within about an hour of trying the lite version. The interface is simple, but there is actually quite a bit you can do with this software once you get used to it. If you like Rytmik Lite Chiptune Synthesizer, this makes it better, with a whole bunch of instruments to play with. NOTE: It's all electronic style instruments. There's not really any guitar or piano sounds or anything like that.

After 5 hours of using this program: Very accesible and user-friendly, but this program looks like it was designed to leave users dependent on DLC (although updates and improvements have been provided after release). So far, I haven't found the hidden button to import your own instruments, and the provided instruments are very lacking for $12 on top of the $6 for Rytmik Lite. You can get much more from open-source and free resources, but I guess that's the price of a user-friendly and visually enticing interface, and I guess that's smart of the developers to leave amateur electronic musicians dependent on new DLC. No options provided for exported file format. It's going to be a .wav file. That's it. It's a good program for beginners, like myself. But there are a lot of things this software doesn't seem to offer. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't include a piano instrument. No guitar either. No music box. Even though it says "750 instruments", you'll very quickly find that you don't even want to touch a lot of the instruments. But there is some variety. It's fun and easy. You can dive into musical creativity, but there are some serious limitations.I'm too reluctant to recommend this to anyone but musical novices. You might be able to make some great tunes, but don't expect to create anything truly unique with this program.
