All Hail the Orb Reviews

All Hail The Orb is a short, quirky pixel-art incremental game about powering a mysterious orb, summoning cultists, exploring a dungeon and slowly unlocking automation as devotion builds. The tone is light-hearted and a little silly with no fail states, relaxed pacing, and yes...many, many ducks.

Not very long, but I did enjoy it :) Lots of little systems, and near the end it gets real satisfying. The duck generator needs a lot of work, though. You can't even refund points in it, which sucks, because even after 100%ing the game I didn't have all the upgrades in it.

Got true 100% in around 4-5 hours, semi actively playing - worth the 5/6 euros for some fun. Overall I think the game is good and pretty fun, the duck mechanic (energy) felt super slow compared to all other aspects in the game though and I do think it could use some speed up, it took forever to max that tree compared to everything else in the game. I do wish the game wouldn't force you to "look at certain things" and zoom in dramatically like some youtube clickbait video, same for some animations - I wish I could shorten them. The "rock" should have a immortality upgrade as well in my opinion

A quirky, fun, stylized incremental game that doesn't overstay its welcome. I only wish that the duck upgrades (skill tree and duck-based resource multipliers) were explained in more depth as that would've definiotely smoothed out the progression curve in the mid-game.

Fun clicker, a bit short (completed in an afternoon) but worth the price.

Definitely one of the more enjoyable clicker/idle games. The combination of mechanics and pacing worked very well for me as a second-monitor title (that sometimes distracts more than I should admit) - respect, looking forward to more games by this team.

As incrementals come, this is a great one. Graphics are polished, progression is paced nicely, plenty of fun systems to unlock on the way and maybe most importantly, doesn't overstay its welcome. I did wonder about some of the items, that didn't really seem to do anything, and some systems had some tiers that felt like they weren't really implemented into the progression at all. Game is very active, so if thats not your thing, this is not for you, for everyone else, its a steal.

Pretty competent, I'd even say more competent than most when it comes to recently relased clicker/idle games. A nice pace of new unlocks which give you different currencies and have different mechanics; but it's not as great as it seems. My main complaint would be - it's a bit of an assault on the senses and annoying to play. Whenever you can upgrade something, you have a notification icon on this particular building - this is perhaps helpful later on, but for the most part I just found it a huge pain in the neck. I can click and see myself, yknow? I don't need to be told what to do 24/7. Also, whenever one of your cultists has finished resting, you get a popup. This popup is only relevant for maybe 20 minutes, as after that your cultists learn to walk back to their station - but the popup stays for the rest of the game. Eh. The resources balance is a little off, too. Some things are too expensive, some are too cheap. Hurts the pacing somewhat, but only somewhat... the real hit the pacing takes is the last section of the game, and it's pretty clear most people who dropped the game did it there. And that's pretty much it when it comes to complaining. Otherwise the game's fun. Good pace, just about enough variety, and it's all packaged tightly so you'll beat the game before you get a chance to get bored. Very nice. It feels a little wrong to recommend it, but I enjoyed it while it lasted - looking back, it's not that great, but I still had fun. Really enjoyable and charming short incremental game where you run a cult who worships an orb that will probably release... something when your devoltion goes high enough. Fair amount of content for the price and with pretty good pacing expanding your dungeon to new rooms and resources. I definitly prefer the shorter <10 hour games like this over the ones who goes on forever.
