Solid racing simulator, albeit quite dated. If you want something for a potato PC it's fine, but otherwise it might be a good idea to look for more modern equivalents.

Don't buy this if your after realism. Sliding 50 meters sideways while only doing 15kmph is impossible and if you were going fast enough to slide that far you would flip and roll, because it is on bitumen. Having said that, if your after some quick race fun that is relatively cheap, especially if you can get it in a bundle, go for it!

I loved this racing simulator. Got most or all the add-on tracks, races and cars. With a forcefeedback steering wheel, gas & break pedals with my computer hooked up to a 54" TV, it was so fun. When you're ready you can switch from arcade to simulator mode. I played this so much that my arm hurt from steering so hard & so long. It would penetrate my reality and I would have dreams I was still playing. Unfortunately my Win 10 box didn't support the force feedback wheel & playing with a keyboard sucks and near impossible. You really want to have a variable throttle control not just steering. Full left or full right and full throttle or none at all, like keyboards and gamepads just aren't good enough controls to be competitive. And nothing is more fun than someone trying to boot you at first because "you're too slow" just to come back and beat him like a red headed step child the next race. There are also all the tuning adjustments to the car. Just changing the psi of the tires will change your lap times. There is tons of adjustments you can make to the car. You can really tune your car for the track & weather. As well as screw up the car. Once you get consistent lap times, that's when you start making slight tuning adjustments and shave off some more lap times. Once you get consistent lap times, have your car tuned to your driving style, go online and race some real people. For me, this is a game with unlimited play time. You can "master" a track or a race or a series with one car. But then you'd switch to a 69 Camaro or the BMW series or formula 1 cars & race series or CART series or any of tons of other cars & tracks.

Great racing game. Both realistic (quite simulator-like, if not an actual simulator), highly enjoyable (with assisting can be played as an sim-arcade) and challenging (AI reacting to your type of driving, learns your tactics on the track and adapts to confront it). Huge bonus - great graphics for a game made in last decade, AND is still fully capable to be played on lower end pcs/laptops (latter being my case). Enjoy the ride.

Yes and No. This game is a cheap and simple time spender which will run on any laptop from the 21st century. However, the AI lack alot of challenge and there are times that'll you'll go off the track in first and rejoin a lap down. But, for £1.50 the caterhams are great fun to slide around when revision is too much to bare. But Race 07 should be better...

I bought this racing simulator on sale, I am very positively surprised by this simulator. Okay the graphics are outdated, but the psychics are great and the FFB really isn't bad. You can still find mods and yesterday only adjusted the AI and FFB slightly, then did a quick race. You don't notice the difference with the human opponent very quickly, the AI does not drive the ideal line in a train, no, it really entered into a fair fight, door to door without crashing. When I start the simulator a smile appears on my face and I don't get that with other simulators, highly recommended for a few cents and playable on old computers with old video cards.

I got this in my library a long time ago like in years but never played till today. You know how it is, i was buying games like i wanna eat them or something. On to this game. The UI is great! so many options to tweak especially graphics and gameplay options. I had a really easy enjoyable time on my first race with a number 11 Caterham car even with many mega mistakes because reasons ... it's against novice AI, who are well behaved behind me even after i spun-out or crashed. They slowed and didn't overtake; the yellow flag was out at one time. Anyways, keyboard steering is awesome! smooth as silk with all assists on too for good measure. Graphics quality is good considering its age and graphics isn't why i bought this or any game. In fact i prefer running games at near minimum quality in order to minimize heat and power consumption. That said i'm very happy with this near perfect racing game 9/10.

Pros=good 1)great value. 2)handles well didnt have any problems 4)for an old game it has good graphics 5)game lets you move car off starting like before others but black flags you Cons=bad 1) it gets jumpy when car reaches max speed (wished it showly went up in speed instead) not enought cars or tracks.Even with DLC 2)not realistic damage cant lose any car parts.

Totally worth the money. - Good driving physics - No Rubberband AI - Good amount of tracks - A lot of Settings for race rules and stuff - Good graphics for a game released in 2006 Would buy it again.

Good game, certainly worth the $3. However I would recomend you don't make the mistake I made and purchace this instead of Race WTCC 07. That game basicly includes everything in this game plus another game, and also has a wealth of mods on the internet, including the excelent 2012-2013 mod. For only $1 more it's an amazing value, and I ended up just purchacing that one and uninstalling this, because there was nothing more this could offer. As a game though I would recommend it. It's a bit of a hardcore sim, so if you're used to Burnout or Need for Speed you may have some trouble adjusting. However for the money it's a good deal. Not on the level of a new Codemasters or Forza game, but still worth the money.
