A good bit of fun. I like the concept, but I agree that locking the camera would be a good feature to add. However it is currently in beta so two thumbs up
EDIT: The developers fixed the camera issue in less than a day, great job devs! Great game and they keep adding more content, love it. It is like getting an expansion for free!

Rogue Singulariry is an exemplary early-access game as it is fully-functioning, more polished than you would expect, fun and able to be played with minimal bugs (less bugs than some AAA games I've played anyway).
It is a throwback to old-school, 3D platformers with a particular focus on speed-running. When I say "old-school", I'm thinking of of Mario 64 or Super Mario Galaxy, Crash Bandicoot and Ratchet and Clank. Rogue Singularity has managed to emulate those games while still bringing in some uniqueness into the mix. This uniqueness comes not just from the speedrunning element, but also from the procedurally-generated levels; modern, colourful, sci-fi graphics; and a great soundtrack.
My one complaint is that while you can probably complete the main game in between 30-50 minutes, I am yet to finish due to how difficult it is at the very end. So I guess the complaint is with myself as the game's difficulty does increase at a steady rate.
I would recommend this game to anyone who's looking for a nice-looking, replayable challenge.

Not played much on steam, but as a Switch game is unbelievably good. Can't think of another games it is like. 3d side scroller? jumping puzzle? A lot of fun. Can lack a bit of variety depth. Used the same upgrade and special ability for pretty much the entire play through. Also has challenge missions etc.
But a ton of fun for as little or long as you want to play. Good for a 10 minute jaunt or a hour long forgot what the time is marathon.

I’ve been following this project since 2015 and found that it’s vastly evolved since.
[list]
[*] The procedural generation of the floating gauntlet; feels fresh and varied each time.
[*] There’s a sense of constant progression. With tokens going towards cosmetics, useable equipment, world shortcuts and unlockable abilities. I found that the glide propeller worked wonders for not falling into the void!
[*] Excellent array of sfx, music.
[*] The examiner is fully voice acted. The dialogue further extending the comedy and overarching goals of the game.
[*] Controls are tight reminds me of Super Mario 64.
[*] The environments and lighting effects have become even more polished since the trailer.

bad level design, inconstant platforms that helps me skip most of the level
the fan thingy makes the game boring it makes me skip most of the level in a slow way
the whole battle system is weird if there is one, especially the boss WTF WAS THAT ? DODGE SLOW ASS ATTACKS AND GRAB A COIN WOW
the base is really good but you can polish it to make it actually fun

I first played this game at PAX Australia in 2015, I enjoy the game play back then. I had purchased it a long time ago and wanted to wait until it was fully complete. To my surprise after playing recently it was still as good as I remembered.

The best parts of 3D platforming mixed with smart level generation helps this game keep fresh for a long time.

I've never been the biggest fan of rogue-like games, but this one has all the zany fun chaos that is missing from a lot of them
