I honestly think it deserves "Mixed" rating, but art alone drags this game into "thumbs up" category.

Do not purchase.
Don't be fooled by the cute and captivating style of the game -- it's a trap. The game has the most terrible and inresponsive controls I have ever experienced in a game, both keyboard as well as gamepad.
You don't use mouse at all. And although you can rebind movement controls from arrows(!) to standard WASD, you cannot bind any action to any mouse button. Now, to do a high jump you need to hold Space. But the only tiny problem is that it may not register, and if you want to reliably jump over numerous spikes(which I will talk about later) you need to have acceleration. Pankapu's model often stutters while running.
But the situation is even worse when using a XBOX-based controllers. I tried using Flydigi Direwolf and 8bitdo Ultimate, both using respective dongles as well as cables. One word: awful. The biggest problem was jumping, which was not only poorly implemented in the game, but the whole level design isn't thought through.
The levels (at least the initial ones) are filled with spikes and thorns, that are wide enough that Pankapu can't jump over. Some platforming elements are simply cancerous and stupid instead of being challenging.
I'm quite a fan of platformers and metroidvanias, and was pretty optimistic when I bought and downloaded this game, and was expecting some simple tale with engaging platformer/light metroidvania, and was setting myself to give it a positive recommendation and at least a decent 6,5/10, but alas. I'm really dissapointed.
The game is simply not functional.
2/10, due to inability to physically play the game.
