Probably one of the most fun time management series ever.

I loved this game! Too bad this is the only game in the series that is for mac. Would buy them all otherwise.
Anyways, I'll say a few thoughts. At first I was disappointed when I first loaded up the game because I thought instead of people I would manage police cars, ambulances, and firetrucks. Which I thought would be a neat spin on the genre! (why's it always gotta be people??) Anyways, regardless of that, I still really enjoyed it.
Managed to get all achievemnts except for level 48 which is bugged on mac still. Apparently the devs only fixed it for PC. Pretty sad that the devs don't give a fuck about mac. But I guess it's whatever. Not a big deal, I'm not really an achievements addict. But if you are, get it for PC lol. Not that it matters cause the achievements are only in game and most people are Steam achievemnts addicts, specifically.
Anyways, on to a new series!

i played these games growing up and still enjoy them but i simply cannot recommend this game for the fact alone that it will literally FRY your GPU. someone else posted in the discussions thread about this and one of the devs replied. if you want to know more, just check that discussions thread. i, therefore, highly advice against buying it until they patch it (which they wont, cause it's "an old game")

A little more difficulty than Rescue Team 4. In many levels, you have to demolish the old building and replace it with the new type very quickly if you want to earn three stars. The time limits of some levels are tighter than most level.
And I think the description of the Air Shuttle achievement is wrong about which level this achievement is in.

Funny, little, casual time management game, like many others. But I like those games. And this one is nice and colourful!

I've just requested a refund for this game because level 12 is so unreasonably difficult that from my perspective, it appears to be impassable. To be completely fair, evidence found on the interwebs indicates that advancing past level 12 has been done; but here's why -- unlike those determined souls -- i gave up trying and asked for my money back:
This level features a fire that threatens several citizens as it spreads; you can't extinguish it, you can only rush to helicopter the people to safety. As implemented, the timing and/or strategy demands of this task seem unreasonably high; so much so that i was not only unable to succeed, i was also unable to enjoy trying.
No problem, right? Just take a low star rating and move on, right? Wrong: you can't proceed to level 13 if the fire reaches the people on level 12 (which, for me, it did every time).
In over a decade of playing time management games, this is the first time i have encountered such an impasse. The way i see it, i could spend hours failing this task over and over trying to get past it, but then what? Will the remaining 2/3 of the game be increasingly MORE difficult and joyless? Count me out.
On a side note, one player posted a discussion asking if level 12 was bugged, and the developer responded that one needed to "restore [the] Fire Department and also save a firefighter." But... neither of those things is present on level 12.

i like alawar games and i like time management games. thing is, i like to play levels in my own pace, i dont care about achievements or gold stars but eg sometimes i like to max out all buildings, sometimes im lazy to wait around for that.
these type of games i find relaxing and entertaining.
i dont care about the not-so-attractive graphics or the one bug but i really hate that the game rushes me. i know, its TIME management, still, if i wanted an adrenalin rush, id play an another genre. dont rush me, if im slow deny me those ah-so-coveted gold stars. with this genre i expect relaxation not frustration.
so, unfortunately i wont finish this game, and because of the above i cant recommend it.
on the other hand, if you dont mind trying a level again (andagainandagain) because the game kills your rescuees, it might be just for you.
update1
Mia, a fellow steam user brought to my attention that this game has a 'relaxed mode', where you dont have to play against the timer. im not sure the game had this feature before, quite possibly it did and i skipped it the clever guy i am. so thanks, and though it wont be my favourite time management game, my rating is changed to recommended.
update2
and im getting senile and i forgot why i actually disliked this game, i started again (no steam cloud) and at about the 12th map i remembered: fire kills my rescuees. so sorry Mia, changed back to not recommended.
