Horrible cash grab dlc. The content added 0mb of new content which means it was already in game, it's just a purchase to unlock access. Shame on developers for such marketing techinque. This dlc is the best dlc of the game. Still, 3 boss battles, 4 (2 minute long each) scenarios and useless robes are absolutely not worth 10eur. I paid with discount 50% off and still refunded.

if you want p2w robes this is the pack you're looking for
just ignore the other pack cause it's not as good
Scavenger robe is really strong and rewards you for dying to AOE damage also you get a gun that does high poison damage :)

Honestly, the scenarios aren't all that great. My friends and I bought this hoping new missions would make it more fun after we beat the campaign, but they just got tedious.
However, the new robes and weapons are cool, if a bit OP. I love the revolver.

Very lack luster
Not too inspired and it doesn't have much of the feeling that the typical game has. New items are fun but the scenarios just aren't doing it for me. It is cheap though, so I won't fault them on that.
But the dlc in Magicka 1 was just so much better

Vote Up: Because it is almost worth the price tag, and powerful gears with little draw back. (Not gonna lie, it also looks pretty damn good.)
Vote Down: It is basically the definition of Pay to Win.

Fun items, but the phrase "Pay to win" comes to mind.
The weaknesses and downsides of the items in this pack are so small and negligible (When the items actually have downsides) That it's almost necessary to use them if you want to be totally efficient.
There is an entire set in this pack with NO downsides. Just bonuses. An objective improvement on stats, and not negligible ones either, and it's not like the other sets are any better, either.
The items are fun, like I said before. I'm especially fond of the Revolver, which actually seems half-balanced.
All three of these sets are horribly (and obviously intentionally) overpowered, get it if you want to keep up with everyone else who has it, but it'll blow all the other items out of the water, which isn't a good thing.

The main problem of this DLC is that the robes are just rediculously OP. Its even worse if you have a friend, using the new rode and the skull staff you can stand by eachother spaming AOE death and healing eachother while doing 1.2k damage to any enemy getting close. While the new scenarios add some varity to this unvaried game, they don't even give unlockables and came be completed using the same methods as all the other trials and missions. Mabye if the game had you complete the new scenarios before giving you the OP gear, then mabye this review would have been positive.

Edit
@ review clearly aimed at me: of course all the items in this dlc are over powerred compared to items and weapons in the base game, bosses could be murdered with those spells combinations with or without this dlc, but even though they are over powered each of them do have fairly large flaws affecting them so they are kida fair compared to the base game, i stand by my review
--------------------------------------
I am enjoying the items given by this dlc, the scenario challenge things it adds are interesting and fun,
Death Apprentice Robe, Grimnir Reaper Staff and The Dead Man's Hand weapon. Ultimate death murder, just don't ask friends for heals!, Dead man's hand- deals death damage to the user, so essentially a close combat weapon that heals you on smacks., staff insanely boosts damage done by death spells and poison spells, robes insane protection against poison spells, hand hitting poison and cold damage, so your an insane death and poison killing machine
Scavenger Robe, Staff of Detection and the Ol’ Trusty Rusty Revolver, now I have not seen Mad Max but I'm taking that this is going in the Mad Max reference along with the Insane Maxi boss fight. Robes this time healed by poison and when you die you explode (boom <3) , Staff boosts your lightning spells (zap) and a revolver- long range weapon that deals poison damage (shame it cannot be enchanted)
Robe of Riviera, a Crow Staff and a Silver Longsword.
These robes..fuck me... Protection from all elements... hah fight me, shame it doesn't protect against all status effects, just chilled. but to be honest who needs it, still trying to work out what "can go beyond walls" means though...
crow staff massive bonus to cold and earth spells
silver longsword however is great, medium damage w/ medium knock-back, AND IT ONE SHOTS FUCKING TROLLS, YES TROLLS YOU KNOW THE GIANT SCARY THINGS IN CHAPTER 4,5 ETC IT ONE FUCKING SHOTS THEM
as for the scenarios and boss fights,
I played the Protect the King challenge with 4 people, the king randomly vanished half way through making the challenge a lot lot easier
I played the Insane Maxi challenge as well (first of all Borderlands reference in the name, we all know Mad Moxi) My only issue with this was we played it 4 players, the boss battle is extremely fast to add to the challenge, but the map is way way way to big for a 4 player team, we all kept loosing our characters in the sea of goblins and massive explosions, it is a very very well designed boss fight (and very very hard even on normal mode, we had to make a tactical retreat)
Defiantly looking forward to playing the other scenarios and boss fights brought in by this dlc and I strongly recommend it to any magicka 2 player looking for a challenge and some fun stuff to mess around with
again would prefer if there were unlocks for the given items, all of the players I have played with enjoy getting unlocks, (bragging rights don't mean anything, plays need proof!)
(also the new magiks that seem to have appeared in the same update as this dlc came in are great, hats off to paradox)

And another overpriced dlc with not enough content.
Don't get me wrong, this has some really good maps.
But it costs almost as much as the entire main game.
That seems a bit overpriced. It doesn't give us much.
It's a cool content, but it's really not worth that price.
I would give it a neutral review, but steam can't do so.
Therefore, I must leave a negative review here instead.

Items that give massive bonuses with no drawbacks? Or simply bonuses to everything? Or mass AOE dmg + self heal with only a minor drawback? This is the definition of Pay 2 Win. You missed the ball on this one, Pieces Interactive.
