Shattered Chess Reviews
Chess remixed as a fast roguelike. You get 10 moves to beat a target score by chaining captures into big combos. Build around piece types or mechanics like cooldown, buy/upgrade passives and one-shot effects in the shop, tackle rule-twisting bosses and King Challenges.

I’ve been following this game ever since the demo was released, and the full version absolutely delivers. I love the tactical complexity of the gameplay; it definitely takes a bit of patience at first, but once you understand how the mechanics work and start building synergies, it becomes extremely fun. If you like roguelikes that force you to think outside the box, this twist on chess is highly addictive!

The first 30 minutes were a bit rough for me. There's definitely a learning curve, and it took some time before the mechanics really clicked. The tutorial helped, but I still needed a few runs to fully understand how everything worked.
Once it started to make sense, though, the game became incredibly fun. The hour I spent playing flew by. I already enjoy chess and chess puzzles, but the roguelike twist adds a whole new layer of depth. Upgrading pieces, unlocking abilities, and using skills during runs makes every encounter feel fresh and engaging.
If you're a fan of chess puzzles and enjoy roguelike progression systems, this is an easy recommendation.

laidback typa game, you can hardly get bored from smth like this.
I enjoy the solo playin that only you move them pieces, you ain t got no enemies or have to think much about moves, u just enjoy munchin on them pieces.
I really enjoy the replayability, a roguelite done as it should be.
Also big ups for all the homemade graphic design and animations.
10/10 would leave my wife to play this

Very interesting game idea, and solid execution
Think Balatro but with chess instead, all that it needs is an active modding community

A very cool game inspired by balatro, you can get crazy combos with the right abilities, perks and if you capture with all your pieces, don't spam just one. I like the gameplay, had to remember how to actually play chess, not just spam capturing, you have to think in advance to get some good combos. I recommend this game.

Shattered Chess proves that chess-inspired games can still feel fresh and innovative. Great strategic depth, satisfying progression, and enough variety to keep every run interesting. Easy to pick up, difficult to put down. One of the most unique indie games I've played recently.

I actually tried the demo back when it was available, and I knew right then that the concept was awesome. Now that the full game is out and I've put a few hours into it, it’s even better and super catchy. Once you start figuring out the synergies and broken upgrades, it gets incredibly addictive. It's so satisfying to hit big combos on the board. Definitely recommend it!

A surprisingly addictive roguelike take on chess. The build variety is excellent, and once the synergies start coming together, the game becomes hard to put down. Bosses keep runs interesting by forcing you to adapt your strategy, and the higher difficulties provide a real challenge. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy strategy games and roguelikes.
