An array of good new content that's well worth the price, and the 3 new nations are all excellent and give flavorful new gameplay experiences. Extra leaders with Orator and Schemer archetypes were a welcome bonus for me.
The Yuezhi nation and the Hun tribe now give the option for the classic "4x Cavalry Archer Terror From The East" challenge in a purer form than Persia and the original cavalry tribes gave, nicely filling that niche and well worth a mention for those who enjoy defensive nail-biters or taking control of Yuezhi and doing the Tamerlane Tango.

A significant amount of content has been added through this expansion like no other, whereby an incredible [u]3 new nations[/u] have been added, along with substantial other additional content.
Old World continues to deliver on outstanding quality gameplay and content, as well as accomplishing the impossible: expansions that are not [i]necessary[/i] to enjoy the game (the base game remains a complete experience), yet are nevertheless [b]completely worthwhile[/b] (so you ought to pick them up if you can afford them). This expansion is likewise absolutely worthwhile thanks to the amount of well-designed additional content it provides.

A generally well made expansion with some interesting new nations and religions. They fit in rather seamlessly with the existing Mediterranean focused factions.
My relatively minor complaints are that the new wonders are a bit underwhelming and I would have like a few new mechanics.
Is it a must have? I'd say no unless you are really into the new regional theme.
But if you're like me and want more Old World content, then I highly recommend this.
Overall it's a solid expansion for an excellent 4X game.

A fantastic expansion! With this I'm pretty hopeful that the team eventually expands into East Asia and maybe even south asia.
I also hope that the team eventually gets more portraits into this game. The repeating faces was especially noticable in this DLCs factions.

Another amazing DLC that adds tons of worthwhile content. Love to see the devs experimenting with new civ-specific systems. Hinduism is a powerful new religion that's worth leaning into and the new luxuries that give happiness are so gratifying to improve.
The Huns can be a challenge, but like pretty much everything else in the game, you can cut them out in game setup.
New Wonders, new civs, new events, new luxuries, new religions, new ambitions and achievements--it's all good!
