Amazing DLC for EDF, especially once you have finished the base game and have pretty much maxed out everything, pure firepower alone won't get you very far without strategy. It also follows very well with DLC 1, introducing you to mutant species of the base game enemies (though for some reason there are a few levels which include mutants on inferno within the base game). DLC 2 rather than introducing you to new enemies, tests your skills that you've learnt throughout the game, typically consisting of large masses of enemies instead of waves.

I died on Normal as a 2400 armored Wing Diver with two different level 90 weapons. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY GOLDEN ANTS AND GOLDEN QUEENS?! WHYYYYYYYYYY?!

I don't usually take the time to review things, but on this occasion I thought I'd review this, being the first to post a negative review of this DLC. Put simply, this DLC is obscenely hard. I've only just completed it, having to use "Hardest quality" weapons on most levels at normal difficulty, and needing "Inferno quality" weapons for the final level on normal. I will however, say that the fact that you can often approach the level strategically is fun, a nice change from the pure guns blazing style of the main game. But, be warned, the difficulty here is...well...extreme.

Just finished this DLC as all four classes, some missions on normal and most on easy. DLC 1 was hard. This mission pack is BRUTAL. You WILL need to play the later missions on easy to even win with normal gear. You will get your ass handed to you, fair warning. Highly reccommended for EDF nuts like myself.

EDF not insane enough for you yet? How about ants that split into even more ants? Short Deroys that sprint at you? hyper agressive Earth Eater fighters that can't be destablized or knocked around? Boss Spawners? How about fighting waves of enemies in all directions while a ring of unending airstrike fire forces you to stay out in the open? That is just SOME of the things you will see within the first 10 missions of this 23 mission suicide circus, and it only gets more absurd from there. This mission pack is not for the faint of heart.
