Surprisingly bad barely does justice, it got all the worst aspects of the second game and made them worse. The only redeeming feature of it, if any, is the level of automation it offers, fleet types, and the interesting granularity of the terraforming system. The graphics are surprisingly wonky, blurred.

I would not recommend this game, it is not a finished game and it shows. You can download some mods to improve it, but the main problem is that the game is designed around many inovative ideas that unfortunantly altogether doesnt make for a very fun game. Also to many mechanics with emphasis on realism that just doesnt work for a video game how they are implemented.
