Mission Pack 1: Time of the Mutants DLC

Making this review before I finish the DLC, currently I have only completed the first four levels out of 25+ missions (4/25+): If you're playing single player and normal difficultly, I recommend you to at least have some lvl9 weapons and at least 500-550 defense. I am playing ranger and currently have 666 defense (sorry). If you're playing on NORMAL mode, you'll get around lvl9 weapons and above. The highest weapon I received was lvl12, and the lowest was lvl8. --------------------------- I really recommend the following weapons to start out with: - Any sniper rifle, I personally used MMF41-B3 (lvl9, Sniper Rifles) - Buffalo G3-Burst (lvl17, Shotguns) - Volcano 3W-Burst (lvl9, Rocket Launchers) --------------------------- These are the three weapons I personally used for the first 4 levels. You may be able to complete these levels with lower lvl stuff since I kind of suck at EDF games. If you want any of the listed weapons, just attempt level 4 'Setting Sun' in the base game campaign on HARD difficultly, which is what I did (very easy level to grind decent weapons on if you have skill issue like me). I recommend getting the Air Tortoise 02 (Missile Launchers, lvl3) if you want to attempt that level on HARD early on and do it fast and easy. You can try it without this stuff and probably do it just as fine. If you complete DLC level 1 on normal you'll probably get these weapons too (except the Buffalo, maybe) --------------------------- For levels 1-2, I heavily relied on the MMF41-B3 sniper, and only used the Buffalo G3-Burst shotgun if they got close enough or were heavily grouped. Level 3 I relied on the Buffalo, only using the sniper to get some damage on the nests long range. Level 4, I suck really badly so I had to change it to EASY mode. I only used the Volcano 3W-Burst on that level and I recommend you to have some health because you'll probably blow yourself up a lot. I had made it to the last wave on NORMAL difficulty, but just gave up on the second attempt. I have a massive skill issue at EDF games.... --------------------------- I know the DLC will get much harder later on and I am excited. I know I am not really prepared enough for the DLC, but it has been fun so far. I recommend this DLC and hopefully my terrible guide helps. The first few levels are very easy, except maybe level 4 due to the hordes, so this guide might not even be needed at all. (Just to clarify about my terrible skills, the first time I died was on level 4, I hadn't died on any of the previous missions, only that one)
