Heatwave: Sam's Stay Steam Charts & Stats

In the absolute bloat of adult content on Steam that skews heavily hetero (no shade to that player base) it's refreshing to have something that is more on the gay side, albeit in a shallow way. I don't mean the sexual content, which is mostly fantastical anyway, but the core of the content. I managed to zip through the game in under 2 hours, and was honestly disappointed; I liked the drama that was unfolding and having the option of playing Sam as a reluctant, cautious closet-case, or aggressive virgin. But there were all these threads that sort of went nowhere, and all the peripheral content don't add thematically or into the overarching plot. But there's this implication it might, but doesn't. I think this game is a good first step, but it needs more content to flesh out all of the elements. Here's hoping the game gets a sequel.

Initially I did not know that this game was GenAI slop. I thought, at best, most of it was CGI. After 3 hours of finishing the story the entire game, not just the animation or voice acting, is AI slop. The story, the music, hell, even the writing for the hidden stories you pick up are AI slop. I tried asking for a refund from Steam for this but apparently anything over 2 hours of gameplay disqualifies you from that refund.

I picked up Heatwave expecting a fun way to kill a few hours. Instead, I got completely addicted. This game had me grinning at my monitor like an idiot, staying up way later than I should, and getting way too attached to characters that have absolutely no business being this attractive. The tension is unreal. Every conversation feels loaded, every look feels deliberate, and somehow the game always knows exactly how to keep you wanting more. What surprised me most is how invested I became. I came for the eye candy and stayed because I genuinely cared about what happened next. The characters are charming, frustrating, seductive, and ridiculously hard to stop thinking about once you log off. There were multiple times where I told myself "just one more scene" and suddenly an hour had disappeared. Enjoyed busting a nut everytime.

I never know why Steam doesn't allow average reviews, but if I had to recommend or not recommend to someone, I wouldn't recommend. Some people care more about story, other just want hot scenes. This one begins with a bit of a story, opens up some hot situations, and then ends abruptly, which in the end feels like neither is successful. There is certainly a lot of work put into what is there, and I purchased as I want to support gay gaymes, but it either was planned to be more and never happened, or will be potentially a DLC consideration. Is it worse to be pysically blue-balled, or emotionally? haha. It also gave you multiple (usually 3) choices as to how to react or converse, but a lot of the time, this made little difference. As far as replayability, this makes it less interesting, as you end up with a pretty similar experience. As an openly gay man, I do also find it odd that not one character originally identifies as gay. It's not a problem, I always love a range of perspectives, (and am open to people/characters exploring new ones) but this one really leans into the 'straight but can be eventually convinced' genre. Again, not a problem, but we have such a diverse world that it didn't quite feel natural.

I like how Sam reveals his thoughts to the player, he is logical and excepts his feelings about men with a positive view and celebrates himself for who he is. This would be a mental boost for any young man doubting himself. On the other hand, I wish there were a few more puzzles. Anyway, I enjoyed the game and plan on finding everything it has to offer.

I really enjoyed playing the game but I do wish it was longer, wish the usage of AI wasn't there and the characters constantly changing voices kind of throws you off but overall good game!

I got so turned on that I had to relieve myself multiple times while playing. I took my time with it and played slowly because I didn’t want the game to end. You can clearly tell the developers poured a lot of passion and care into every part of it. The writing is excellent, the choices are solid, and the game delivers pure heat from start to finish. Easily a 10/10 — highly recommended. I really hope the next part comes out soon!

Two hours ! I finish the game in two and a half hours ! I mean I'm so disappointed, I literally expected the story to continue when it just cut and boom finish, no more. I mean it's the proof that I was invested and wanted to know more, to do more, they even talk about a camping trip at some point and I thought "can't way to see that !", but nope. They announced that the story will in fact continue, yes please, but it's not clear if it's gonna be added to the game, a new game, or DLC episodes. It it's paying episode or new game, no thanks, because finishing this game in two hours and a half... I realise this is one of the most expensive game I own compare to the time it took me to finish it.

I mean it works if you just want to goon, but really there is not much depth here, and the AI stuff leave much to be desired.

Where to begin on this very gay adventure. To be honest I was expecting much more from this game than what it gave me... Don´t get me wrong, this definitely is one of the best gay sex games you´ll find on steam howeverrrrr it feels... unfinished? The graphics are great, even for an AI generated game- which is let´s be fair quite visible, but overall the animated scenes, the guys and overall feel of the game is pretty much a wet dream. Note to the developer- next time, not all the buff guys need to be hairy everywhere. I played the demo which made me decide to buy the game but I must say I feel disappointed as you don´t get that much more and the story feel like it was cut waaaay too short since we only started to get involved in the lore. Another huge disappointment was definitely the Findr part of the game- BEWARE, you only get a scene with ONLY one of the guys there, otherwise it´s just texting and swapping pics with them, which was very disappointing since there have been 2 very interesting characters that definitely deserved their own scenes (yes, I´m talking about the doctor and the DomTop Daddy). For now I´m giving this game a thumbs down as, all jokes aside, I´m not completely satisfied with how short the gameplay is and the fact we didn´t even get a proper lore that is visible has a lot of potential to be there. Last note to the developer- I really really hope you keep updating the game and adding new stuff to it as it has a lot and lot of great potential and it truly is one of a kind game (even if it´s a sex game :D).
