I have played no game like this game and it has been a very long time since any game has been a challenging and lengthy puzzle without being tedious. kerbal space program perhaps but that was years ago before it became second nature how to play that game. TLDR good game

Only 4 hours in but this feels a lot like a zachtronics game but a much better story. The colleagues banter while weaving in tips is a good time. Can't wait to see where this goes but i know i am in for a ride. Bravo devs, bravo.

If you love having your mind blown and tested then this is the game for you. That or you just are a big nerd who loves science, language, math, and just thinking hard.

This game is worth playing. It really, really is. It has some weakness on the fringes, but what works is the core gameplay and puzzles. With limited exceptions, transmissions are engaging to decode, and completely engrossing. Unsolved transmissions have a way of just sticking to your mind, and you can always feel when a definition is off. The interface is clean, but not barren, and the only things that are a tad frustrating are also part of the main conceit: you are starting from nothing. The formatting rules can be a bit restrictive, but to be fully free you'd have to be able to code a whole parser, and that's absurd. At worst, you can just flip the formatting for a few transmissions before switching back. Overall, the core loop is fairly tight, and the issues that exist now are reasonably small and, as far as I know, being fixed.

Still playing through the campaign, but this is fantastic. It feels like what the characters in Project Hail Mary had to do. Challenging and fun!

It's Arrival but with math instead of coffee stains. Been dying for another translations game like Sennar or Heaven's Vault, specifically the variety that doesn't just throw you into the deep end immediately and require you to keep your own trove of notes. This game's flow so far is fantastic, throwing a new word at you every few puzzles and then testing you understand how to use it. I'd honestly be thrilled with this already if it was a pure text-based game with nothing but the puzzles and helper tools, but the characters and week/act breaks in really round this out into an amazing language puzzler. You can also just *feel* the dev nerding the hell out making this, and doing their damnedest to research everything so it's as accurate as possible. I bet my paycheck Segan would've loved this.

An amazing puzzle game. Truly a unique experience. Played the demo and instantly purchased the full version when it came out. Cannot recommend it enough.

Great game. So far played the demo and its got interesting characters and dialog. Cool math / language puzzles. The premise is super cool and had me hooked right away. BTW you don't need to know fancy advanced math. Demo does not go higher than raising to a power.
