A really interesting game about tanks with super realistic models. There are a lot of tanks and an insane attention to detail. Sometimes, the "replaceable conditon only" parts feel a bit inconsitant, but other than that, great game.

Review of Tank Mechanic Simulator Ever wondered where the damaged and destroyed tanks from world of tanks and other games that have tanks end up? Welcome to Tank Mechanic Simulator repair and restore WW1 and WW2 battle tanks. Get your tools ready to repair tanks. Check the steam guides for newbie information. Basically it is rust cleaning, sand blasting, prime painting and final coat painting to restore existing tank components. Repair and assemble engines, gear boxes, suspension, wheels, tracks and turrents. Internal and external modes. The engines and gearbox have a number of components to disassemble, assemble. TMS has a Steam workshop to add to the play-ability adding camouflages, decals, pinups, collectibles, and of course more tank models from community players. PlayWay mechanic series are a form of model building. If you have build models in the past you will like Tank Mechanic Simulator. And game has more to offer such as field testing, metal detecting and extracting tanks from the old battlefields. In summary, be skeptic with some of PlayWay mechanic series such as PMS and MMS due to the facts they are abandoned, have too many problems or low content. Try the prologues or demo and decide. Get TMS, CMS, RMS to get the best mechanic simulators currently available. 7.5 / 10 (only due to a few bugs) if they where less it would be rated 8.5 / 10 Thank you for reading my review of TMS.

It's ok. Can't really say much more. Bought at very discounted price during a sale, I would not purchase this game at full price. Beyond the first few hours progression feels relatively meaningless. There's not a lot of things to do in the game. The DLCs are in my opinion a bit overpriced for what they offer. The game feels poorly optimized or outdated.

Tank Mechanic Simulator (TMS) almost requires a comparison to the Car Mechanic Simulator (CMS) series. In major aspects of overall gameplay they are quite similar. Bolster your abilities through a skill tree as you gain experience. Customize the look of your garage. Either perform a repair job or go to a junkyard, or in this case an excavation site, and find a proper project to restore. Repair salvageable parts or buy new ones. Paint your vehicles once completed. The differences are in terms of interface and design variety and complexity. The control scheme for CMS is extremely fluid and polished whereas TMS is admittedly a little clunky and unrefined. However, while there are many more cars in CMS than tanks in TMS, the car underpinnings are quite similar with differences largely in bodywork. So far, 5 hours in, TMS seems to offer far more uniqueness in the builds offered. Also, acquiring cash is way less taxing in TMS than in CMS. Overall both great games. This one gets a solid 8/10.

Any fan of tanks, history, and mechanics-type games will feel right at home with Tank Mechanic Simulator. Been playing the game since 2022 and I consider it my comfort game. You set your own pace, pulling apart pieces (such as engines, guns, storage bins, etc) and putting them back together in mint condition (or battle-worn, which I tend to do he he). There's a broad range of tanks to repair, from the obscure to the iconic! Each tanks have their own varying levels of difficulty and those challenges are always fun. The museum section is brilliant, and is a nice way for those of us who aren't able to visit actual armor museums to experience what that might be like. Overall, the game is a lot of fun and I highly recommend giving it a try!
