A game from my childhood, and an absolute masterpiece.
With its amazing and timeless art style, great soundtrack, charming story and lore, and clever puzzles, Machinarium easily asserts itself as a staple of the genre.
Truly a game everybody should own, and one I am more than happy to slap my seal of approval on.

Great Optics. Great Puzzles. Great Humour. You can feel the love that went into this game. Maybe a liitle too short. I want more :(

This game is actually great and I recommend it, but this steam version is not in an acceptable state. Performance is really bad unless you lower your refresh rate and disable Vsync, and some puzzles are actually unbeatable unless you play in windowed mode. If you're fine with that, definitely recommended, but I'm quite shocked that the game is in the state that it is.

This is the yardstick by which any point and click game should be measured. Exceptional by all aspects: fun, atmosphere, music, graphics, cleverness etc ... just excellence through and through.
Generally i love Amanita games but Machinarium along maybe Samorost (I and II) are just my favourites.
Thank you for the DX12 update!

Machinarium might well be my favorite Amanita Design's game! I adore this hand-drawn world that seems busy whether or not you are interacting with it or not. Machinarium offers a classical puzzle after puzzle to proceed, but it does it perfectly. The challenge is there, and you might run back and forth figuring out the next move. Personally, it took me FOREVER to win the tic tac toe game, and I got frustrated failing to outrun the robot and game ending in a tie.
What I loved about this game is the well-thought progress within areas. There is a consistent art style that stays true to the world. Also side characters are well-presented and you can very much sympathize with them, not everyone though. You can also find some references to other games, like the robot in lobby area.

The puzzles are fun, the game doesn't overstay, it still works on modern hardware after more than 15 years, and the soundtrack is filled with bangers. What more can you ask for?

Honestly probably my favorite game ever. I just replay it every time I'm stressed and it's very soothing.
Good puzzles, good music, fantastic vibes; fabulous all around imo.
