RPG Maker VX Ace - Ancient Dungeons: Forgotten Depths DLC

[h1]Introduction[/h1] The DLC Ancient Dungeons: Forgotten Depths is a somewhat average DLC that can be added to your collection for RPG Maker VX Ace. Since nobody has done a review for this DLC I thought that I might do one to help other who may consider buying this DLC. [h1]Gameplay[/h1] This DLC pack comes with a few music tracks that you can use in your game. Well I use the word 'few' very loosely because of the amount of music tracks you are actually getting for your money's worth. So for £3.99 (or your regional equivalent) you are getting 5 music tracks (MP3 and OGG) and that's it. Now for a DLC that costs this much I was expecting a lot more from it, just a few more relevant music tracks isn't that hard to ask right? Well lucky for me I got this for £0.99 and I guess it's an alright price for this DLC pack. Let's now go over the music tracks themselves, to see if they are actually to what they are said to be in the DLC and if they are relevant. The first track Dark Catacomb starts off to be a nice first addition to the list of music tracks in this pack. But, for me it just seems a bit too calm to be an ancient dungeon music track. I guess you could fit it in some way but for me this track was near enough useless for me. The next track Memory In Stone is more with what you would be expecting throughout this DLC, it is a nice sounding track that fits in with the ancient dungeon theme. Paths Long Forgotten is an exceptionally good music track that is included in this DLC, similar to the previous one, I wish that there were more music tracks like this one in this pack but unfortunately not. Royal Ruins isn't much of a good track, being too calm for my liking and not really setting the mood all that well for an ancient dungeon. Now for the last one, I'm not sure whether it was put in this pack by accident or is suppose to be included in this DLC since it's a town music track. Make of that what you will as a extra track or whatever. [h1]Pros[/h1] + SOME good music tracks [h1]Cons[/h1] - Not enough music tracks for asking price - Some tracks don't fit the Ancient Dungeon style - Asking price is too high for only 5 tracks (1 of which is a town song) [h1]Result / Final Thoughts[/h1] Overall, I wouldn't recommend this DLC pack to those of you who are willing to buy it, especially for the full asking price. There are only 5 tracks one of which is a town track. Only about 2 of them are decent and the others don't set the mood. I felt cheated even buying this at £0.99. Don't buy it. [b]Rating: 3.9/10[/b]
