This may not be very well optimized, but the map is fairly detailed and HUGE. Buses are nice, many lines and also tram lines. Overall a nice addon but a bit overpriced. Worth getting for about 25€.

At first I wonder why should at DLC with over 500km of roads cost only 35 euros ( X10 add on only 60km for 25 euro ) but i didn't care a lot about it. Later, during the test driving around the map I found out I couldn't drive over some routes and roads...I asked OMSI support to explain these issues. They told me more roads and routes ( Which should be included NOW as it's written in the discription ) will be added in special updates, but they don't know if these updates will be for free or will you pay a right ammount for it. I saw details must be added into the map and AI should be improved....There are a lots of things that have to be fixed, so let's hope they have prepared good updates that fix mostly everything. If you want to buy this DLC you should wait some time to see the community's feelings when updates come out...My general rating now: 4/10.

This map is huge. It brings an amazingly big area to OMSI. With a ton of lines and custom buses this map is probably most people's favourite in cases of routes and buses. There are multiple bus garages, multiple bus stations and places with bus lanes, tunnels, bridges. It's all really enjoyable. There are so many unique features to the lines, e.g. the express lines that drive over a tram bridge. Routes that go to Movie Park and way more. The lines are long and also have some variants. There are express lines, night lines, regional lines and intercity lines which you can all enjoy. It's definitely worth buying.

Its hard to downvote this DLC, despite some of its pros, but here's what I think : Pros : + very big map, the biggest one I suppose, + large amount of lines for day, night, rural, city, express, inter-city + nice bus in two versions (articulated and not) + these cities LIVE ! at night and at day + 3 - 4 depots (WOW!) in city, rural etc. + many specific sounds for some locations - you actually feel like you are there + very climatic map + looks awesome in winter Cons : - map is very heavy on hardware ( CPU 3,8 Ghz, 8 GB DDR3 RAM, MSI GF 730 GT 1 GB DDR5 OC everything on minimum and it lags in many places as hell - no other map behaves like this, even large new berlin spandau) - some areas are not finished and lead to abyss, especially there are lines leading by unfiished map segments, impossible to finish, without reroute, - sometimes confusing directions, there are (rarely) places where you simply don't know where to drive, - many very narrow city streets, with cars parked on a side, and traffic constantly flowing from the opposite side of a road, imopssible to drive thru with collisions enabled, because of stupid AI of cars - I suppose that 30 euros is for finished map ? right ? nooo ? oh..... I see :) I would recomend this, as I had some fun with this, but some texture optimisations would be advisable, less narrow streets, I would love finished map design, alnd "living" depots, not only static buses there (after texture optimisation). So as Ypu can see my experience is mixed with this, I woulld revisit my review if something changes for better.

I got this route yesterday. It is wonderful. There are a few "not perfect" areas, but overall it is great. In fact, it may be close to being as good as Berlin X 10, which has no equal - at least until now. Through the forums, I was advised of some potential "problem areas", particularly near the big metro area of Gladbeck. As I indicated, I have only just gotten this route, and have now completed three different lines. all which have been problem free. This route is hard on the frame rates, but I have turned down the settings some, and am running frames in the 40's for the most part. Before I did this, my frames were in the teens, but now all appears well. There are SO many different runs to make, that even if some of them turn out to be non-playable (and I don't know this yet), this was money WELL SPENT. I don't regret buying it at all. I was skeptical because of all the negative I read, particularly on the official reviews right here at this site. I was lucky and got it for 30% 0ff because of a one-day sale on Steam. So if you are thinking of getting this route - DO IT. It is well worth it. There are hours and hours of enjoyment waiting. I can't wait to make my next run - in fact, I am going to do it right now! This map is still an beta. Many parts of the map lacks street lights, and completely dark intersections. The map has potential though, since it is fun to drive through the narrow streets. But it needs a lot of polishing until we can call it a DLC for OMSI. Pros: + biggest map to OMSI so far + variation in driving, narrow city streets and rural roads. Cons: - no value for money yet. - lack of street lightning at many places, which makes it difficult to drive at nights. - some unclear or missing route markers. - some places very dificult to drive in, (as an example Buer Rathaus bus station, it seens "too small" for the buses... If these problems are fixed in a future update, I may change my review to a positive one :)

TL;DR - Get X10 Berlin instead of this if you don't have it I feel like the old saying quality over quantity speaks volumes here. The map may be the biggest in OMSI ever, but there is an obvious lack of quality. Pros: +Extremely large map +Good amount of routes Cons: -Lack of quality, a lot of default textures -Most roads and bus stations are far too narrow -Flickering textures -Poor lighting at night making it hard to drive -Some routes unfinished, leading into the abyss

This has to be the worst DLC for Omsi that I have ever seen!! Cars are parked on the busiest streets with the smallest width. (The parked cars lefft side is inches from the median) So this means that you would have to turn off collisions to do those routes. People are walking through buildings. some of the roads expect you to drive partially on a curb.... AND IT COSTS $40 FREAKING DOLLARS!!!! I am way past my steam refund window but I am still going to request one. What makes it worse is that they advertise it as a full and complete map, but it isn't. And from what I'm hearing, they want to charge MORE MONEY for things that should have been included in the first place??? This is essentially false advertisment and I am pretty sure that I could easily file a class action lawsuit against the developers of this DLC. The price that they charge for this "DLC" is almost the same price as the base game. It is F***ING HORRID!

Quantity has been prioritized over quality in this map, which is full of flaws, and seriously over-priced. This map does not get anywhere near the quality of it's main competitor "Berlin X10", which is utterly flawless and very high quality in my experience. My main gripe is that the roads in some parts of Gladbeck are ridiculously narrow. On some junctions, it is literally impossible to make turns without mounting (at worst) or hitting (at best) the pavement. It feels like an arcade game, not a simulator. Some "pedestrian road islands" have been implemented that again, make the road so narrow in places that a collision with the kerb is unavoidable. I believe the problem is related to some of the chosen splines and junction objects (Yufa) which just aren't suited to the map. Some of the longer distance routes (like my favourite the SB16 Bottrop-Essen), that avoid the ridiculously narrow side streets are quite enjoyable. Overall though, I certainly would not recommend buying this map, considering that Berlin X10 is much better quality overall, and costs just £18.99, where Gladbeck is not as good but is a whopping (greedy?) £29.99. Most of the scenery consists of default (Spandau) objects, and well, it just feels like a large freeware OMSI map.

Gladbeck may be expansive - but it has a distinct lack of quality. For £30 I don't expect there to be mismatching splines or stock assets as far as the eye can see. Customized textures for roads, more custom buildings and a better quality finish is what Gladbeck needs in order to justify the rather hefty price tag.
