The game suffers from a subpar camera and cumbersome controls, making gameplay challenging at best. The objectives are vague, compounded by poorly designed levels that create an inconsistent difficulty curve. The Worm is a title that attempts to blend classic elements with innovative features. In this game, you control "the worm," which extends each time you activate the blocks beneath it, while avoiding contact between its head and body. By using the 'turbo / god mode' button, the worm can dash forward, allowing it to eliminate enemies in its path. The mazes are procedurally generated, ensuring that each playthrough is random and unpredictable. The primary objective is to tap as many blocks as possible to progress through the levels, providing an enjoyable experience. Players must navigate the worm through these ever-changing mazes to reach as many 'save points' as they can. Each time a block is turned, the worm stretches, reminiscent of classic games like “Snake.” However, players must be cautious, as touching the worm's body with its head results in a GAME OVER. Many believe the Nokia 3510 version was superior. Overall, I would rate this game poorly; it does not live up to the expectations set by its promotional videos. I’m relieved I purchased it on sale, as it falls short of being great.
