[u] I only recommend this DLC if you can get it on sale for ~2$.[/u]
It's basically a ~2 hours long simple side quest cut from the base game, that introduced a certain character from Risen 1, added few minor Risen 1 references, one additional NPC based on some classic adventure tale and several monsters to kill.
Since enemies that you will face are quite powerful, I recommend to start this DLC (by talking to Patty on your ship) in mid or late game.

As a solo purchase outside of the 'Gold Edition' bundle this one is very skippable. Basically this chunk of content is an unmemorable grind in which you will kill many gargoyles.

This DLC adds a rather short quest and a new island to the game. Your main objective is to find the air temple and get rid of the gargoyles on each island.
To start the quest you have to [spoiler]talk to Eldric on Antigua[/spoiler].
Fits well into the game and the story but isn't worth 5 bucks, so buy it with the Risen 2 Gold Editon!

When i see something like an Air temple DLC, i would expect a fully fledged dungeon that i have to unlock by doing a questchain. This is absolutely not the case and this DLC is even worse than the treasure isle.

Elric who is a new compagnion, a single new enemy type and a small liniar island. Wow.
[u]Gameplay[/u]
Elric is back giving you the incredible fetch quest to wipe all gargoyles of the island. And collect some eggs. And then kill even more scattered across a couple of islands in the base game. At last you have to kill more gargoyles on an island, collect eggs(mind you there are only exact amount of eggs you need, miss one and good luck running back and forth checking every corner) that Elric turns into an ingredient that you need to open the main “air temple” which is basically just a single room.
[u]Conclusion/TL;DR[/u]
Its probably one of the worst DLC i have ever played by adding only Elric and a single ,very small liniar map. Additonally the whole quest is just a huge fetch quest chain making it even more tedious and boring to accomplish.

Well 10 euro for a DLC which takes about 2 hours to beat with 100% quests/achievements done is 'bit' too much... It adds one new island (really small, straight forward, boring), one new enemy type, quests here are almost all the same kill/collect the same enemy/item. Even the Crusoe optional quests takes maxiumum 5 minutes to finish. The rewards for quests and loot isn't interesting. I would recommend this only for people who cares about the achievements and want to perfect the game or are REAL fans of Risen. Anyway buy it only when it's on -75% or more sale otherwise it's a waste of money.
