Hive Scum is a fun class with a high damage and agility output but it's not really a practical one despite what naysayers and coping players would say. Hive Scum players can struggle in the early leveling stages as without the higher tier perks, they're just made up of brittle glass than being glass cannons. Not only that, they don't really provide that much buffs for the rest of the squad thereby, reducing how useful they are. I'm glad I got the DLC when it was on sale and I was able to level up my Hive Scum operative until level 21 which was when I switched back to other operatives. I doubt I will finish reaching level 30 with that one given how poorly managed the DLC has endured. The only times I saw Hive Scum players in abundance were during sales but after that, I hardly see them compared to the arbitrator class which is far superior in terms of defense and survivability. If you want a fun high risk and high damage dealing operative, then get this DLC at a discount but honestly, not much is being missed out by skipping this overall forgotten and fragile DLC. Haters are going to say "git gud" without realizing they're being carried as hive scum players and being ranked as one of the less desirable operatives for being in denial.

Drugs have never tasted so sweet. The character is great, chem junkie, amazing speed, so much fun in the character. You are a glass cannon on steroids, literally your cannon is a rocket launcher and your steroids are a unique chem you can customize to give you synergistic buffs that have an increased cool-down the more buffs you apply to it. Then the glass doesn't care about scratches, you don't to worry about taking bigger hits than some other characters because you can literally slide passed melee hits, Hive Scum is just fun.

My favorite class in the game, very tough to play but unbelievably rewarding. Glass cannon all the way, and a giant pain to grind up to level 30, but once you do it is unbeatable if you have any level of skill when it comes to maneuvering around enemies and active combat!
