This is not a good game. Its UI is not very intuitive and need to refine a lot of in game mechanics (for example you can make goals every time you take the ball at half-court)

Not done much with it yet, but bought it in the sale feeling at the price there was little to lose. I was surprised at the decent graphics, I wouldn't have been put out if I had paid full price. It obviously comes from a small developer, but I feel they have done a good job at a fair price, it's sad that it has had so many negative reviews. I have some expensive games that I am less than pleased with, so thanks to the developers of Tactical Soccer for a fair deal. It even has a PDF manual so I don't have to scour the Internet finding how to play it, plus decent built in tutorials, great stuff

I do not mean to offend the developer with this review. I highly respect his previous works and believe he is more talented than this game suggests. But to be perfectly honest, I only bought this because I felt guilty about not having a way to pay Edward Grabowski for Grand Prix World/Manager 2. I wouldn't call this a terrible game, and in fact I love the concept of it, but it's lacking. Specific problems include unprofessional menus/UI, overly fiddly camera options, and sub-par AI. If the price drops to 99 cents again, try it if you must, but don't expect anything too great. You might want to give Football Tactics & Glory a look instead.

3.1 in game hours and I completed one match, no joke! I thought maybe people were kidding when they said finishing a season in this game would be impossible, now I see it. This is a game with a good idea gone horribly awful. The grind, the slowness. Yes you could get a match done faster if you use the AI, but trust me, you don't want to use the AI. Thing is, there is already a fun turn based football game out there, it is called Football Tactics. Football Tactics is the game that is my comparison for this one, but there is no real way to compare them since Tactical "Soccer" is just awful. The game isn't very tactical, you just get close enough to aim for the lower left corner and money. Headers do nothing and you cannot receive a pass and move, not even a little, not even to turn your back to the defender who gets their turn right after you get the ball. Can I say anything good about this game? Ummm, it looks nice? Yep, the graphics don't suck for what it is.

It's hard to say if I like this game a lot. I designed an actual turn based soccer game so when I saw this I was interested. I have played a few matches on various accounts and machines. Here is what I do like: turn based. ive always liked turn based. graphics arent too bad its pretty simple to play heres what i dont like: - in spite of having options like headers, etc. I still havent found a use for them. this is basically a run dribble run shoot kinda game - and shooting is if you get lucky. -takes a long time to play. If i was playing a season, id be dead before i ever finished. - player models are wonky and out dated - after a bit, the game play is kind of limited...you find yourself doing the same thing over and over again... what i might change (and perhaps this exists and i just havent found em yet): - maybe allow for two passes in some instances - designate movement zones for run and jog (which affects fatigue) - update the graphics some - update the mechanics a bit. i just feel like they represent a game from 1991. anyway - i applaud the idea and the effort of the dev or devs. i think its a brilliant idea and would love to see an updated version of something like this. thanks. if this game continues to get updates, then i can recommend it.
